) What more need I say than that W.E.B. Griffin is the master when it comes to war sagas. Counter Attack is Vol 3 in his ten books series, The Corps. This book is great on its own, but to seek full enjoyment of Griffin's work I recommend starting with Vol 1 in each series and working your way through. He carries his characters through from start to finish.

) This series of books by W. E. B. Griffin is so good that I have gone to the added expense of getting them all in hard bound editions. I have read the series " The Corps" 4 times and it never gets old. It is very well written but it can get a little redundant sometimes. However saying that, anyone can pick up any one of these books and be able to follow the story from any point in the series. It's a good read.
