Crash Bandicoot (Sony PlayStation 1, 1996)

The Crash games are just awesome. The gameplay gives you freedom, such as being able to go through whichever levels you choose again adna gain if you wish to build up extra lives or just for fun. There are so many different levels, each of them a little different, that it's most engaging. For example,one level will find you running for your life from boulders, one will have you escaping deadfall traps in the jungle, while still another leaves you in darkness trying to find your way out. The storyline is amusing, the game's character is even more so, and the range of moves is satisfactory. The background music is pretty entertaining as well, let alone the behavior of enemies and other NPC's in the game. For adults and especially for kids, this game is a great fit. There isn't excessive blood or gore in this game, nor is there any real violence. So it's appropriate for just about anyone. Happy Gaming!

the game was very fun and challenging, espeshully at a young age. the graphics I think they did relly good for one of the first ps games made. I know it sounded almost completely in a video game and it was a fantasy realism so it was as realistic as they could get then. I don't think there were many things to unlock at all exept more skill and a lot of hand eye cordination! the storyline was confrajulistick and it was also very long and took patience and quick thinking.I loved this game and so did everyone else in the household. It had four mountains to go through each with about 15 levels and as you go on there is onecboss on the first mountain, two on the second, two on the third and three on four, one of which is cortex the last boss.

This particular game can instantly hook you in, due to its challenging puzzles, addictive gameplay, interesting character designs, and soundtrack. When played for the first time, Crash Bandicoot can really put your skills to the test. The puzzles in this game are no easy task. This bandicoot really lives up to his name by crashing into the many tricky obstacles scattered throughout the levels. Timing and precision is what it's all about. Learn to laugh at your mistakes when playing this one, because you'll soon see that you'll be losing more 1-Ups than you can get ahold of!

This is one of the best games I have ever played. In this game you smash boxes that contain mangoes and when you reach a hundred mangoes you get a life. The mangoes don't act as health though, tiki masks are used as health and you can have up to 3. When you reach 3 masks, anything you touch dies. You move using the directional pad. This game is sort of like a 3D platform game. Save points are located in at the end of the bonus rounds.

The one complaint that I have with the first crash compared to all of the other Crash Bandicoot's that I have played is that you can't save the game until you get 3 of his girlfriends then you have to complete the bonus round to be able to save to that point. When you get to the harder levels sometimes you have to go back 3 or 4 levels prior to being able to save it. We do enjoy playing the game, that is our only complaint. We started out with Crash Bandicoot Warped, then went to Crash Bandicoot 2. So I would say that if started at the first Crash Bandicoot and found out we couldn't save it until then, we probably wouldn't of got the other ones. On 2 and Warped you can go out and save your game immediately following a level. Also on the first Crash you see your memory card details, and my 5 year old daughter has erased other games like Pac Man, etc. because she saves Crash where she wants to and it over writes on the card, so you have lost your saved game from another game.
