Creatures 2, Classic Gaming at its Best

Created: 26/02/10
I love this game.
A favourite from my childhood, I have had this game on literally every operating system I've owned since I was ten years old. Gameplay is unique to each person; your Norns (the creatures you take care of in the game) grow as you do and cannot survive well without your guidance. For a bunch of computer generated images, these little guys sure do make you feel for them. I have rarely found a simulation game so involving or unique.
The problem in the game is simply that, in its old age, operating systems like XP and Vista have left it in the dust. I'm still trying to get the installed game to work on my edition of Vista. (Wish me luck.)
Other than that, superb game! Excellent experience, and wonderful for all ages!

I bought this game because I lost it before its appeal wore off.
I might not even like it, but I'm hoping it will be as cool as it seemed in the late nineties. Thinking back, I remember the gameplay being a bit repetitive, except for the interesting genetic situations such as having to find an intuitive cocktail of drugs to keep some of the poor Norns alive, and some of the offspring possessing traits at birth that took earlier generations entire lifetimes.

I own the first title in the series, which is too basic to be anything more than
a demo of the second title, and the third title, which is basically a different game altogether. I think this will be good.
