Synopsis
A rabid St. Bernard terrorizes a woman and her son in the town of Castle Rock, Maine.

The Cujo (1981, Hardcover) is a novel written by Stephen King and will scare you stiff. However apart from the scary part, this Stephen King novel is beautifully multifaceted and very real too. This psychological horror novel revolves around two conflicting clans, the country folk and the city folk. With the marriage conflicts in the two families of the Cambers and the Trentons, the Cujo (1981, Hardcover) takes the form of an interesting soap opera. This Stephen King novel will move you to tears, almost, as the affable St. Bernard turns into a monster as it gets infected by a fatal virus. The scene in this psychological horror novel where the mother-son duo are trapped in the hot Pinto scared to death threatened by the fanatic Cujo will scare you out of your wits.

A true to life horror story.

The story of Donna and Tad Trenton, a Pinto, and Joe Cambers' 200 lbs. St.Bernard called Cujo, in Castle Rock, Maine.

The terror is a constant, and you get to see life from Cujo's perspective.

Cujo, was adapted to film in 1983.

It could all really happen!! Great book but who is in the closet?

When I was asked to write a review about this book the images that my mind created as I read the book came rushing into my mind like a door had been opened. That is why Stephen King is one of my favorite authors of all times, his stories are told so well that the memories of them are almost as if I was remembering a part of my life. This story is to large breed dogs what "Jaws" was to sharks! After you read this you will pay a little more attention to the loud barking in the distance! I have often reflected on this story and thought about what "Heroic Actions" I would have taken if I were in that same situation. Mr. King is the reason I bought my first firearm. There are not a lot of options for the characters in the story but maybe you would have an idea. I enjoyed this book very much. This particular book I purchased for an additional reason as well. This one was signed by my favorite author of all times; Mr. Stephen King.

Amazing....

This book fascinated me. The main reason is how a man (KING) can write an impressive top seller with a simple plot of "a rabid dog terrorizes". The book was more in depth, portrayed the dog as more of an evil spirit than just a rabid canine.

Loved the movie, but the book of course was so much better. Great, great storyline. Stephen King has touched our worse fears once again and made us wonder What If??
