Curtis SDVD7014 DVD Player (7")

This DVD player is great for the price. It feels like really cheap plastic and buttons but works great, if you are looking for heavy duty then this is not for you. we read reviews and others stated that it didn't even play but we have had it for about a week now and no problems whatsoever. It is great for the vehicle for our 2 year old, he loves it because it's his own and for that cheap if he breaks it we still got our money worth the first week! It is so simple I give him another few months and he will probably be able to run it! We have no complaints so far!

Bought this for my 9yr. old granddaughter that has been uses the portable DVD player daily. At least 4 hours a day on average.
I bought this after the other "name brand" 7" player broke for the 2nd time.
I figured I'd save my 25 dollars and 2-3 months wait for Repair and return as I did back in Jan. 2010. That repair didn't last long. I had one other name brand 7" DVD portable before that one, that didn't last very long with a7 yr. old child using it. Sure, these portables take some punishment with a young child using them. Spilled juices, eating meals over them, etc.
I did some reviews in the web, and this Sylvania has pretty good reviews.
I find this player is sturdier and comes with other goodies like the car charger and remote that other other name brand units I had didn't give you.
Plus the price is just right. If it does break, I'll just buy another one at this price.

I have owned several Sylvania portables in the past and have gotten good use from all of them. This one is no exception. Even though it lacks some of the "modern" features (memory card/usb reader) it is still a very good player for watching movies from a discs. Nice size viewing screen and good picture. Great for on-the-go but it also has a video out feaure to watch on full-size TV. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive high quality player.

Purchased unit to play Music DVD's through my vehicle sound system. Thus far it has done that well. Sylvania is NOT top of the line but it was not important to me about picture quality and i use the electrical (12V vehicle), thus battery life of the unit is not important. Some things seem to be sort of flimsy and i am not certain of the true durability of the unit if it were subjected to harsh use. ie: teenager or youngster watching in the back seat. Would i buy again? Probably not. I would pay the extra $ and a "name brand." Sony comes to mind. I bought this unit cheap (#50.)That is about what it is worth. You get what you pay for, Not Junk but it's Not Top Of The Line!

It is in perfect condition and I bought it for my two years old for traveling purposes. I have no regret waiting this long to finally get a portable dvd.
