D-link DCS-920 Web Cam

Good working camera (once it's working)but installation instructions suck. Following the instructions to install takes you into the tech support abyss. Try 5 hours for the wired camera. The wireless wasn't quite so bad.
The other negative is that the camera does not work well in low light.

Bought 4 of these for installation in a business office for security. Two of these were set up with wireless and two were directly networked to the server. I have found the wireless units drop out unexpected over the course of the week and there is some maintenance involved to either reboot the device or reset on the PC managing program to get those cameras back up. The wired network units don't seem to have the same problem. Dropping out is not an option if you are looking to record 24/7.

If I had to do over again, I would just get the cheaper network only cameras and defer from the wireless ones. No point paying extra for something that isn't as reliable since you'll have to wire them anyways and the wireless is left disabled.

In summation, if you are using these to monitor children at home or that type of usage, then these are ideal. If you intend to use it for a 24 hour non-stop recording for security, then make sure you wire them directly to the network.

I have 3 DCS-910 cameras and 3 DCS-920 wireless.

These cameras are easy to setup and seamless to operate with the D-view software.

Using this on a Mac, I had to change the IP address to match my network. Pretty easy to do. Seems to get a better picture than the old D-Link 900 series.
