Aerobic Blast... Nice burner!!

I got Wii last xmas.. The next week i picked up DDR Hottest party 2! Ive been playing it and unlocked all the songs, so I wanted to go back and see what songs hottest party 1 had. I have to say I like the songlist of HP1 better, altho "love shine" is a hard song to beat!
Some mats work with HP1, Will NOT work with HP2.. You need ADAPTERS..
I bought 2... just like original mats on ebay. Brand new, 1 inch thick foam.. awesome pads. they come in pairs for 29.99 free shipping! Also comes with 2 free adapters, and they are compatable for both DDR 1 and 2!
Its weird that the company Konami did that, I googled it and some said they did it coz the 3rd party pad makers were stealing sales...
Just be careful buying pads :)
Hp1: cool songs, love shine is a fun song to get "stuck" on.
Hottest party 2: saves it when you turn off nunchucks, you dont have to change it everytime you start the game.
Its actually better if you get DDR2 first, for the Wii its much more user friendly lol
HP2 u can unlock the option to use your Mii... lol
Awesome game for the wii! A REAL workout!
If you like the wii fit stepping games, this will take it to the next level!
Get the 1 inch foam pads, your body will thank you... :)

DDR2 great game to play with your family
Created: 31/07/09
Being summer and with the kids home ALL the time sitting on their bottoms; thought this would get people moving.
It sure does!
In a fun; interactive way you can get your heart pumping and your whole family dancing.
There is a workout mode for those wanting to break out in a sweat,
there is a multi-person mode so the kids/people over won't be fighting to play next.
There is also a hand motion portion of the game which was new to me.
It's really fun being able to move your hands too; before it would be clinched by my side while dancing.
Definitely suggest getting the game with the dance matt too; otherwise it is just a regular game.

DDR2 is a great way to blow off some stress! There are multiple difficulty levels. I have yet to master the Beginner level, but that speaks more to my (lack of) athleticism than to the game. The menu is a bit difficult to navigate at times. I regularly manage to reset my difficulty level without even realizing it...until the music starts and the twenty different actions are listed on the screen! It never takes long for the crowd to boo me off the stage when that happens so I can reset the difficulty level to Beginner.
The one big negative is the design of the dance mat. The cord really needs to be a bit longer to allow for adequate space. I have to move the Wii console each time I want to play. The mat that comes with the game is NOT non-skid and will slide across the floor. It would also help to have some indication of each foot position to help you keep your place on the mat. I find myself moving just a little too far forward or to one side for my steps to register properly. Anything to give sensory input when you are nearing the edge of a section would be helpful!

Gets you moving

No matter what game system you are on, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) gets you moving using the foot pad that usually comes with it (if you're getting the game you NEED that pad). It gets you tapping to the beat, stepping, hopping, jumping, sweating, and with DDR:HP 2, moving your arms -- a nice addition. The graphics are bright and flashy and ok.
The only bad point I have -- Like many before it, you'll listen to 2/3 of the songs and go "I don't know this song". It's NOT as bad as the Playstation version for that, just don't let that come as a surprise. I suggest DDR:HP1 as slightly better on that point. I'd say the set up and graphics are better on DDR:HP2 though.

Plug in the mat for the dance workout
Created: 30/12/09
So the first thing I notice when I opened the box was the plug on the mat. I looked at the wii and had NO CLUE where to put it. I had to look online to figure it out and finally saw that there were little flaps/openings at the top of the wii. I open them and finally plug the mat in. I have not played it enough to review every aspect of it but all I can say is that it is one of the best workouts ever. I like the rival mode of the game where you play against a player of the wii console. Im hoping to get another wii mat soon so i could play against people :)
Oh, and another thing, it may seem a little amateur of me but I was expecting the original songs on the dance wii. I was a teeny bit disappointed.
