Dance Dance Revolution Universe (game & dance pad) (Xbox 360, 2007)

The 2007 edition of "Dance Dance Revolution Universe" for Microsoft's Xbox360 takes a big step upwards and onwards in dance-dance evolution with lots more rockin' tunes, higher-definition graphics, and plenty of all-new game modes.

Here's what you get:

But the DDR Universe is not perfect: Background graphics are still cheesy -- which might be OK if they were not so distracting -- and it is not yet possible to add your own music.

Dance Dance Revolution Universe for the Microsoft Xbox 360 (published by Kunami; UPC 083717300595) is not yet rated but does feature suggestive themes and lyrics. Comes with its own exclusive DancePad plus the game disc and instruction book. Requires a joystick controller.

This game is pretty good, but it has it's positive and negative aspects to it. The Positives: good songs, good customizable features, and good graphics. The Negatives: the only way you'll beat Quest mode is if you're an expert because you can't change the difficulty setting in this mode. Also the directions on how to play the Quest mode is very vague. Also the background graphics sometimes makes it hard to see the arrows as they come up from the bottom of the screen, but you can always turn them off. I've never played online so I'm not sure how the online options are like. overall the game is alright. What would make this game great would be the option to upload any song you want and customize those dance steps. Maybe we'll see that in the next DDR.

The game is amazing! It is a lot of fun and would recommend the game to ANYONE! It is great for beginners, it really starts you out slow and shows you what to do. Also great for experts. It gets really tough too. (To tough for me!) The music is fun and will get stuck in your head! For all those people who have a hard time with excercise this is an excellent way to have fun and get your heart rate up at the same time. I can not stress enough how this game really is for everyone. You could make it into a family game or a great party game or whatever you could come up with. I decided to get it for the cardio work out. We don't always have the time to go to a gym and get on a tread mill. But we can get out the game and have fun for thirty minutes or an hour. The game is Great game! Go buy it!

If you are a veteran of the DDR series, or a brand new rookie, this Xbox 360 version takes it to the next level. With the online capabilities available through Xbox Live, this game is now an instant classic.

This bundle comes with the dance pad, headset extender, and of course the Xbox 360 game. This game can walk a brand new player through the most basic of songs and challenge the advanced players with over 100 minutes of music.

The sound track contains a great range of music from Jamiroqui to Steppenwolf. Play up to 3 players online, and from what I have seen lag is not an issue through Xbox Live (No excuses!).

Do yourself a favor, if you can get your hands on this bundle, do it because it could be hard to find for the next month or so.

We bought the DDR for our children but found ourselves using it to work out! It is a fun way to get the kids excersizing, and get a cardiovascular workout at the same time. It IS somewhat childish, but thats the point! And boy, do those kids move. All of our children like competing with each other and we even get their father on it once in awhile. Great fun, good workout, and great for family time!
