) I was going on a mission trip to Mali, W. Africa (my daughter will have been there for a year). I thought the book was great! The book was very enlightening as to cultural issues there and it showed, sadly, the reality of life and death (as the title goes). For me it was great preparation for my trip. I would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to learn about African culture. I am not much of a history/sociology person so thought it might be slow reading but it was great and I finished it in just a few days.
Anthropology Book

) This book is way better than reading Anthropology Textbooks. It reads like a novel. It has been one of the few books I have had to read for a class that I have actually enjoyed.

I am in an Adult Fast Track to get my AA and I needed this book for an Anthropology class. I have already read it and written the essays I needed to on it. It was actually an interesting book. I enjoyed it very much.

It was in the course thats why i have to buy it. but i never read it. As i dropped the class, becoz i have other things to take care of.
