Product description

Product Information
The Danelectro French Toast Octave resurrects the Foxx Tone machine and the fuzz effect from the 70s. These effects pedals are compact, long lasting, and sturdy. The guitar effect pedal ensures great octave sound to your gig. The single effect Danelectro French Toast Octave is small enough for easily carrying around on to a gig. The effects pedal with an octave switch allows adding an octave up effect to the fuzz sound. The guitar effect pedal is a great device to produce the sounds of musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Jack White, etc.

At first, I really enjoyed using this pedal because of the octave feature...well, there's no way to just use the octave without the fuzz, and the fuzz on this pedal is downright ugly. It is out of control and nothing like the Jack White or Hendrix sounds that were advertised. Oh, well, I'll continue to mess around with it to figure out the total spectrum of sounds it offers.

SCRATCH"N"FIZZ!!!
WELL BOYS AND GIRLS...HERES ANOTHER DANO REVIEW, THIS TIME ITS TIME FOR FRENCH TOAST WITH A TWIST.
GREAT PEDAL FOR THE MONEY...WOT CAN I SAY, ITS FIZZY, NOISY, AND NOT MUCH NOTICEABLE PITCH REGARDING THE OCTAVE FUNCTION. BUT OVERALL BECAUSE OF THE PRICE DROP THEY ARE WORTH EVERY BIT OF 28.99.
IM ON MY SECOND ONE NOW COS I GAVE MY FIRST ONE AWAY.
AND NOW FOR THE TWIST.......OUCH!!!
MY OVERALL ADVICE IS GET THE "DAN O WAH" IF YOU CAN, IT MAY COST YOU A FEW EXTRA BUX BUT HAS A BETTER SOUND AND DOES WOT THIS PEDAL DOES PLUS A NEAT WAH TOO, THEY GENERALLY GO FOR ABOUT 40-50 BUX USED AND ARE BECOMING RARER DUE TO BEING DISCONTINUED...PLUS THEY ARE BETTER CONSTRUCTED AND LOOK COOLER!!!
KEEP PLAYING AND LOOK OUT FOR THOSE "DANO" BARGAINS!!!

Danelectro French Toast ROCKS

Created: 01/03/11
Did you know that man that designed the Foxx Tone Fuzz ($350 plus) also owns Daneletro? The French Toast has the same guts (cheaper guts) as the Foxx Tone. For fuzz the French Toast is great. I use it on my clean and dirty channel and it is great! I get "wows" from my amazingly talented Nashville guitar picking friends on this one. Super cheap and super tone! I highly recommend this pedal.

Excellent pedal!

This is one of the greatest sounding fuzz pedals I've played. And at this price-point one is foolish not to at least try one.
