Quite a fascinating book, one of a series of 10. Most of the same characters appear throughout the series, from before WWll with Marines in China up through the Korean War (so far). Not a lot of shoot-em-up action; more of the interactions of the characters as they accomplish challenging tasks involving one enemy or another in locations most everywhere in the world.
