good game to the price

A modern-day superhero saga, Dark Sector is a third-person shooter where players assume the role of the protagonist, Hayden Tenno who gains the ability to morph into dramatically different combat forms. Set in the crumbling infrastructure of a fictional Soviet-bloc country in the near future, the game features both single and multi-player action, with players working their way through a world where bio-weapons are no longer science experiments, but a hellish nightmare let loose on an unsuspecting populace.

Great game with hours and hours of carnage. Definitely worth the money!

Although the game lacks a great story line and it's a first generation PS3 game so the graphics are not up there with some of the newer ones this game is a great buy just for the replay value.
The glaive can be a great weapon in groups of enemies and the ability to carry firearms just adds to the carnage! Upgrading the glaive just gives you more ways to kill. The glaive can be "powered up" when thrown to provide that little extra kick you might need to damage or disarm an enemy.
The story unfolds as you progress through the game and you find out more and more about the virus and the cover-up surrounding it. As the virus takes a stronger hold on the main character the infected enemies evolve as well providing you with more and more challenges. It's hard to get bored with so many different enemies and ways to kill them.
Due to it's age you can find this game fairly cheap and it's well worth the money. Personally I just hope they come out with a "Dark Sector 2".

First person Shooting + SciConspiracy with Krull=Dark S

I loved this game, mixes shooting and scifi conspiracy all in one; I like this kind of stuff. I bought because I originally wanted to get it when it came out, but at the time I had no money and couldnt afford the original price. I was scrolling along trying to find the best price possible on Ebay and I eventually found it at a price I could afford.
This game was more like a movie because every chapter revealed something more interesting about the virus in the game. The only things I had a problem with was the loading screen and the amount of chapters that were on it, only 10 chapters. Other than that, it was a great game, worth replaying and hope that sometime eventually they make a sequel. Originally got bad ratings from video game critics, but sometimes people are full of it.
My advice: if you want a game that really gets you excited but you normally go with video game critics advice and rating; ignore them: buy the game and you rate the game yourself. If you hate it at the end, take it to gamestop and get some cash for it. If you liked it then you did your job.

Sliced and diced to about an 80/100.

There's not a whole lot to hate about this game, but here goes. The blood gushes when the glaive flies through the air and it looks great. The graphics are really dark, and by that I don't mean macabre-- I mean literally the screen is dark. I'd change up the options in the menu to lighten up the screen. The game is a must buy for fans of the genre, but I wouldn't pay more than 15-20 for it since it's one of the first generation PS3 games. It suffers from a little bit of jagged edges on the screen, which are a bit annoying at times. Also, sometimes it's a little frustrating to destroy things with the glaive, and as a result you'll have to do it a few times to get it right.
In short, though, this game's shortcomings are few and it is an enjoyable title.
A definite 8 out of 10.

Decent shooting game all the way around. Plot is good, gameplay is par as far as shooters go, and the style of options is ok. Fairly easy to pick up and jump right into. The PS3 has a ton of shooters out on the market. This one does have some different elements to it from alot of other games combined, which makes it somewhat of a side element combo. It's more or less like a B movie is to a blockbuster movie, but it is a B title worth experiencing.
