Editorial Reviews
8 - Excellent - ...although everything your punk rock elder brother said was undeniably true, it doesn't take a great mental leap to achieve the mind-set of the pot-smoking philosophy student and pronounce this album a super-sensory classic...
NME

4 stars out of 5 - ...The subdued, darkly muttering, sombrely somnolent music of DARK SIDE OF THE MOON startles....An achievement of considerable merit...
Uncut (20030501)

4 Stars - Excellent
Q (19941001)

...The sound is lush and multi-layered while remaining clear and well-structured....a fine album with a textural and conceptual richness that not only invites, but demands involvement....the excellence of a superb performance...

Ranked #43 in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time - ...One of the best-produced rock albums ever...

GREATEST ALBUM ON EARTH BAR NONE ENOUGH SAID LISTEN

Created: 04/06/09
IN LIFE YOU HAVE TO EAT SLEEP POOP PAY TAXS AND OWN AT LEAST 1 COPY OF THE DARKSIDE OF THE MOON.

Home, home again.
I like to be here when I can.
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire.
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Us, and them
And after all we're only ordinary men.
Me, and you.
God only knows it's noz what we would choose to do.
Forward he cried from the rear
and the front rank died.
And the general sat and the lines on the map
moved from side to side.
Black and blue
And who knows which is which and who is who.
Up and down.
But in the end it's only round and round.
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
The poster bearer cried.
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside.

"I mean, they're not gunna kill ya, so if you give 'em a quick short,
sharp, shock, they won't do it again. Dig it? I mean he get off
lightly, 'cos I would've given him a thrashing - I only hit him once!
It was only a difference of opinion, but really...I mean good manners
don't cost nothing do they, eh?"

Down and out
It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about.
With, without.
And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about?
Out of the way, it's a busy day
I've got things on my mind.
For the want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died.

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!" All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy,
beg, borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."

A Must Have for a Pink Floyd Collection

Created: 12/01/11
The Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, 1990, is nothing short of fantastic. The CD begs for a quality sound system to show off it's wide ranges. It is one of those rare CDs which sound as good, though quite different, when played at low volume. In my humble opinion, this is the real transition album from the "Old" Pink Floyd in which Meddle, Atom Heart Mother and the under rated Ummagumma ruled the undergound FM radio.

Always a Classic

Created: 13/05/07
The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd has always been one of my favorites. Being able to get this on the MFSL gold series has made it even more a classic and great to listen to. All of the MFSL gold cds are no less than superb in sound production and quality. This hard to find gem is a welcome added piece to my collection.

There is no comparison.

Created: 11/02/08
The MFSL Gold Disk CDs have dynamics and spatial imaging that can't be matched. Nowhere is that better proven than on this. If you haven't heard the MFSL Gold Disk version of this classic then you haven't heard it. There's that much of a difference. That also holds true for the MFSL Moody Blues CDs, and almost everything else MFSL had a hand in.

This is THE classic CD of one of the best Rock albums of all time.
