Garrett--a former student of Itzhak Perlman--has remarkable control over his tone, guiding his violin to sound tremblingly sweet ("Nothing Else Matters"), bluesy and soulful ("Ain't No Sunshine"), jaunty ("Zorba's Dance"), and even aggressive and artfully harsh ("Thunderstruck"), a versatility that allows him to cover Metallica and traditional Hungarian folk dances with equal aplomb.

I decided to buy this CD after seeing David Garrett on the PBS broadcast of Live From Berlin. This young man is amazing! I really love this CD! In particular his performance of "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. I will be buying more of his CD's and have shared this one with friends who are also awestruck by this virtuoso!

David Garrett Violin CD

I saw this violinist on Louisiana Public Broadcasting station. I fell in love with the music! It is so relaxing and is "angelic"! I listen to it every day coming home from work! David Garrett is a very talented musician! He is originally from Germany and was invited to study at Gulliard School of Music.
Anyone purchasing this CD will be so glad they did!

David Garrett Amazing Talent!

Created: 26/06/09
What do you get when you mix a young, extremely attractive artist with a violin and AC/DC??? ELECTRICITY! This guy has SUCH a stage presence and is wonderfully "watchable"! If you like violin and LOVE rock music, this guy has the ability to mix the two into a spicy show you won't soon forget. David Garrett is young, hot, and has the fastest hand on a violin I've ever seen. Give it a chance even IF traditional violin isn't your thing. You're going to be pleasantly surprised! Can't wait for more from this artist!

Passion in motion!

Created: 18/02/11
David Garrett is beyond words with his music! It is hard to think for words to describe his playing, I would say..."Intense,moving,extreme passion, love of rock and Bach put together, ummmm,it is hard to describe in human words!" I have seen him in concert a few times and each time I do I would walk away thinking "What a performance,..... what a performance!"
He truly has a gift and he is magnificent to watch his "Passion in Motion!"
You will be delighted to listen to his music, I know I sure am, but we are not all created the same!
Have a nice day now.
