Blu-Ray makes it better!!!
Created: 30/05/08
Here it is..An all star ensemble, David Gilmour, original Floys keyboardist Richard Wright, David Crosby and Graham Nash join Davids band for the tital cut of "On an Island which is by far some of Gilmours greatest works to date, beautiful vocal harmony, tight bass, and that style of sound that only he can make with his "Black Strat" sparing guitar. Some old lots of new, echoes "well done".
Last but not least David Bowie does the vocal intros on "Comfortably numb" Davids fretbending near string popping riffs sound better than ever. I played this disc thriough my Denon 2500 Blu-ray player, into my Marantz 7.1 surround 1080 receiver with a full Bowers and wilkins 7.1 speaker setup and cranked it up and it was kicking and felt like I was there at the concert, well sound edited, good photography and I decided to buy the disc..it is a classic already and if you are going to show off a system and good TV get this disc!!

Very good Blu-Ray edition for Pink Floyd fans
Created: 02/05/09
PROS: Concert is covered exceptionally well. David Gilmour has played many of the old pink floyd songs. This would be the opportunity for collecting a blu-ray for pink floyd fans.
CONS: I have both DVD & BLU-RAY edtion of this video. The BLU-RAY quality doesn't seem any better than DVD edition, though DVD edition has a very good quality video.

David Gilmour's "Remember That Night"
Created: 08/04/09
I have always been a fan of David Gilmour and this did not disappoint me at all. Typical of any live concert, some scenes are hard to see, but overall, this blu-ray disc was worth the money I spent. I would recommend this disc to anyone who is a David Gilmour or Pink Floyd fan.

Yet another letdown !
| No, I would not recommend this product.
Created: 01/12/11
This is another concert DVD that does not live up to my expectations. I get more and more of these .Such a letdown ! Let's start: the picture is fairly good but not great. The stage is fairly dark , fact that doesn't help the cameras, the picture is grainy, lacking fine detail. Is this what one expects of Hi Def? Not really ... No " Pop -Up " menu for easy access....!Acceptable picture quality accompanied by great sound would have been a good / acceptable combo. The sad part is that I'm not pleased at with the sound at all. I wonder why they chose Dolby True HD and not DTS MA ??? In my opinion all DTS sound tracks were and are superior to Dolby's efforts. The sound generally lacks punch, detail and volume. Poor high end too...Everything one doesn't want in a concert video.Compared to the volume that I use when listening to CDs I have to crank up the amplifier at least 10db more. Extremely low output.I'm not pleased with this at all. Multichannel mix? Front heavy. Not much going on in the surround channels, they are wasted on the crowd's noise between tracks.Guess what? The crowd is almost louder than the band ! LOL! What kind of Hi-Def recordings are these???? They don't even live up to a good CD !!!! I / we pay good money on Hi Def discs and end up listening to music little better than Mp3s !!! What's going on??? The bottom line is that this recording is mediocre at best so don't expect stellar or demo quality. I have seen worse recordings,so this isn't the worst. This is a two disc pack, with a nice booklet and plenty of bonuses. The show itself is great, Mr. Gilmour and guests do a fantastic job but the recording is poor! Still I wonder why so many people gave 5 stars to this disc?
