Dawson's Creek - The Complete Sixth Season (DVD, 2006, 4-Disc Set)

this compilation is worth it simply for the fact that it has the series finale where you see all the characters go off into the sunset. joey ends up with pacey. game over!
the cons are that there's no extras, menu navigation is not that great (not many chapters). the biggest is that a lot of the music was changed due to not wanting to pay the licensing fees. i had no problem changing the title track because i never really like that song, but the new one is far worse. luckily, it's much shorter. but the melancholic original music was often replaced by more upbeat 90210 style music. also, this series missed the HD era and looks like an older TV series. sure it's DVD, but DVDs can look better than this. maybe it's because they squeezed the season onto 4 discs while other TV shows have more discs.

Dawson's Creek is my all time favorite show. Season 1-4 is absolutely amazing and very well written. The shots are well thought out and beautiful. However, season 5 and 6, they writers seem to loose their way. Williamson left and you can easily tell they flailed around afterwards. The finale is great. Perfect. I just wished Michelle Williams had not died in the end. I think they could have come back in a few years and filmed a "30 something" series with this group. But of course, Mrs. Tom Cruise would never do that now. If you've not seen it. Buy it.

Enjoyed watching this season again as I enjoyed the series while it was on TV originally but couldn't always watch it during it's run. Bought this so that I could own the complete series and watch these new actors and actresses as they started their careers. It also seemed to hit a fairly accurate representation of what goes on in the life of a high school student with the intertangles of friends and romance.

DC fans would all agree that this was and is and always will be an amazing truthful adventure of true life captured on screen. Not matter what generation your in ~ if you were there for the birth of Dawson's Creek or reliving it 10 years later, or discovering it for the first time your in for wonderful ride! Get em, watch em, & share em! You won't be disapointed! :)

If you have read this review of mine repeat itself all the way through each season~ I couldn't say it any better for any of the seasons! And wow what a finale! I would recommend the actual "Extended" version of the Season Finale as well... just sink in and prepare for the waterworks! But what a wonderful ride it was! And if your a diehard as myself your glutten to ride it over and over and over again! Enjoy!

As I said I loved watching Dawson's creek through the years and now to have it for my own and to watch without commercials is the best. Great acting and real life stories without all the bad language and violence of other shows. I especially like the way the ended the series without leaving us all guessing what the future was for the main characters. Great writing.
