Great Tunes from Yesterday

Created: 27/07/08
I want to start building my music from a time when music was better than what is being offered these days. Nice to hear melodies and instruments, not voice overs and re-mixes. From what I see, talent lies in the ability to actually sing. Not make gestures and hollers. I could go on and on, but I guess I'm telling my age. And growing up in New Orleans probably doesn't help the newer recording artist as well. Man I can remember when music didn't cost and it was real.

CAPTIVATING!!

Created: 04/09/06
I probably never would have bought this CD if I hadn't seen him on Oprah one day! I heard him sing "The Day (That You Gave Me a Son)" and was like "WOW- now THAT'S a good song!" His voice is beautiful and so are the lyrics and music. I had to have the CD after that! It was worth every penny and then some! I can't really comment on the other songs on the cd because I probably didn't listen to them more than once or twice- and that was years ago. After hearing "The Day" I guess they were a disappointment! Not because his voice isn't beautiful, but because the style of music just isn't my preference. (I normally prefer country.) "The Day" is brilliant and one of my favorites, ever. It is captivating. It was nice the lyrics were included in the insert.

I love the way the music from Babyface touch you. I have always liked Babyface music since I was in middle school. The reason why I bought the cd was I actually was going to get married off the the main song on the cd. I just loved it so.
