Compilation producers: Richard Linklater, Sean Daniel, James Jacks.Richard Linklater's DAZED AND CONFUSED takes place on the last day of classes at a Texas high school, in 1976. Consequently, the accompanying soundtrack is a primer in '70s rock, the very same stuff you would have heard blasting out of the radio in any suburban 7-11 parking lot. Sturdy rock war-horses like Rick Derringer's "Rock And Roll, Hoochie Koo" and ZZ Top's "Tush" are found alongside the glam of Sweet's "Fox On The Run" and The Runaways' "Cherry Bomb." The tastiest of the soundtrack's nuggets is Black Oak Arkansas' too-easily-forgotten cover of LaVern Baker's "Jim Dandy." And the album closes with a sweep through the dungeons of prime Seventies hard rock--classic tracks by Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Kiss and Alice Cooper. Incidentally, if DAZED AND CONFUSED only whets your appetite for the music of the lava lamp and pet rock era of American pop culture, EVEN MORE DAZED AND CONFUSED makes a perfect companion album, featuring such 70s mainstays as the Edgar Winter Group, Foghat and Peter Frampton.

Yeah, everything from that first car (Highway Star), to that first kiss (Rock&Roll Hoochie Koo),this music brought it all back for me. It seemed that the music from that era had a greater meaning, it was righteous!

) its the greatest movie of alltime with the greatest era of music of alltime! enough said! you have to watch the movie to get the logistic of teh music and how it effects the way the movie plays out! once you watch the movie u will listen to this soundtrack and just daze of wondering what it be like being apart of a cult classic!

This is a cd that i have had and it was lost. I was looking to replace it. That is the reason that I have purchased the dazed and confused cd. It is a cd that i really really really really really like.

) This is one of the best old rock n roll soundtracks around. I play this without telling anyone and they say "wow, where did that come from"? They can't believe it's a soundtrack. I've almost worn it out. Personally, there's only one song I skip through, it was definitely a great buy
