Dead Like Me: Life After Death
Ellen Muth and Callum Blue return to reap in the movie that follows up the critically acclaimed Showtime series. In the film, which begins two years after the end of the series, the undead reapers meet their new boss, Cameron Kane (Henry Ian Cusick of "Lost" and Hitman). Kane's new agenda creates disorder among the reapers.
Daisy (Sarah Wynter of "24" and "Windfall") and Mason (Callum Blue of "The Tudors" and "Related") fall for Cameron's temptations. Meanwhile Georgia "Georgie" Lass (Ellen Muth of Dolores Claiborne) breaks the most important rule of reaping when she reveals herself to her earthly family in order to bring peace to her mother and younger sister.
Dead Like Me: Life After Death is sure to please fans of the Showtime series. The story can be a bit confusing for new viewers based mostly on the unfamiliar character interactions and mannerisms. Still, the movie does a decent job as a standalone film. It offers some clever and witty moments and a few laughs. The plot is compelling with Georgie struggling to stick to the rules of reaping when she sees her family suffer. Dead Like Me is an interesting supernatural saga.
Hope this helps you decide. Thanks for reading! :)

My husband & I just LOVE 'Dead Like Me'!! We waited so long for this because it was such a disappointment when the series ended! All the characters became like our 'friends', as we got to 'know' them. We liked the series so much, we bought the complete 2 seasons.
As far as the 'movie', it was great. There was so much revealed here! It was so nice to see George, Mason, and Roxy. Even Delores Herbig was her silly, crazy self, but you can't help but like her. Delores & "Millie" become closer friends in this one & "Millie" also has more responsibility and authority at Happy Time. (Even Crystal was there)
Rube was missed a real lot! The new Head Reaper was just 'ok', but made you miss Rube even more (Rube was like the father figure of the group).
The one that played Daisy was far from Daisy... she was not the same at all. Daisy & Rube were unique & no one could replace them!
But the movie was good. It involves more of George's mom, Joy and especially her kid sister, Reggie... except Reggie is a pretty teenager, played by the same girl as the 'young' Reggie. That's all I'll say, as I don't want to reveal any of the plot.
Even in spite of missing Rube & Daisy, I'm rating this as Excellent. Overall, (especially) if you're a DLM Fan, you gotta see this movie!

Dead Like Me the movie

This movie is in no way a stand alone movie. Without the two season series it would not have made it to DVD. I liked the series but the movie is empty with a scattered plot and the feel of an episode from a different series.
The cast with the exception of the missing "Rube and Daisy" originals fell back into character with just the right amount of growth and old anchorage. The casting to replace the original Daisy was desasterous! The woman who played the role looked and acted like a cheap older version of Daisy, perhaps her mother.
Nice to fill out the collection but not worth buying as a stand alone movie.

I did like the movie. The only thing I was a little disapointed in was the actress that they had play Daisy. I think that she is a great actress but Daisy is Daisy she just didn't fill her shoes.
I decided to buy this movie after I found out that they had made one. I had no idea that one was out there. I loved the dead like me series and I was so upset when it was cancelled. It was a great show.
I hope that in the future they do decide to make another Video but they bring Rube back and the REAL Daisy!
