The title couldn't be more appropriate -- whether the subject matter is strippers ("Girls, Girls, Girls") or the occult ("Shout at the Devil"), Crüe delights in some of rock's sleaziest decadence since Kiss and Sweet. Die-hard aficionados will already be more than familiar with such headbanger classics as "Looks That Kill," "Wild Side," and "Piece of Your Action," but for those new to the band's metal and hard rock, the album isn't a bad introduction at all. The previously unreleased material includes a live version of "Kickstart My Heart" and an ironic cover of the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the U.K." In the '70s, the punk and metal audiences were hardly the best of friends; but in the '80s, it became downright fashionable for headbangers to embrace punk. ~ Alex Henderson

80's Hair Band Revival-Motley Crue

Wow, what can I say about these guys that they don't say in their music?

Kickstart My Heart indeed! Tommy you ARE Dr. Feelgood! Your STILL living that life!

Motley Crue was basically the kickstart to my wild side in life and in music!

Everything they sang about, I was doing! Smokin' In The Boys Room,

Girls, Girls, Girls, Angela ;)

And yes, I wanted to be an anarchist!

All because I was a Rock n' Roll Junkie!

But I always missed Home Sweet Home when I was away, (ya know they had to throw a ballad in there, and it was a good one)

This was indeed a Decade of Decadence and I wish I could shake their hands and say thank you for their music!

Decade of Decadence is a great overview of Motley Crue's first 10 years. Beside highlighting some of the best of their first five albums, you get Primal Scream, one of the best Motley Crue songs ever. If you are Crue fan from the beginning, or a new fan still learning, this is a great CD to have.

Motley Crue CD

Created: 16/12/08
I decided to buy the CD because Motley Crue is my favorite group and Decade of Decadence was the only CD of theirs I didn't have. The CD has all of the Crue's best songs on it, it totally rocks. There is nothing at all about it that is a disappointment. I turn it up loud in my car and drive around listening and rockin out.

Motley Crue what else needs to be said :

Created: 09/06/08
When given the chance to write a review for this CD , There was no way I was going to pass it up . Motley Crue is one of the best rock groups there has ever been . All you have do , is look at how long they have been selling music and performing . There has to be a reason they have lasted for over twenty five years . If you want one of the best CD's the Crue ever put out then this is the one . There is no way you will be disappointed . And if you have never listened to Motley Crue before , and you start off with this cd , be prepared to buy more of the Crue and the feel good music they do .
