Album Notes
ZZ Top: Billy Gibbons (vocals, guitar, baritone saxophone); Dusty Hill (vocals, tenor saxophone, bass); Frank Beard (alto saxophone, drums, percussion).ZZ Top took an extended break from the tour trail and the recording studio after wrapping up the tour for its 1976 album, TEJAS. DEGUELLO (Spanish for 'beheading') was issued three years later, and continued the Texas trio's winning streak. Most ZZ Top fans consider DEGUELLO to be the last link to the band's characteristic early blues-rock; it moved to a more accessible sound with its '80s releases EL LOCO, ELIMINATOR, and AFTERBURNER. Ending the '70s on a high note for the band, DEGUELLO includes a pair of the group's biggest classic rock staples--the funky "Cheap Sunglasses," and the anthemic "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide."d

I am 43 and have been listening to this album since I was 15. Most of these songs don't sound like the more recent ZZ Top. Dust My Broom totally rocks....there is nothing better. Or listen to "She Don't Love me She Loves My Automobile".........If you like blues/rock, you will love this CD. Many peoople don't know about it. Only us "old school" wild people!! Also, it's great biker party music. I had to get another CD since I keep wearing them out!......Thanks, Danielle

ZZ (at the) Top

This is ZZ Top at their very best.I'm a "dyed in the wool" fan, and as such, I had to have this one. It was recorded back in 1979, and I hadn't heard some of it since then. It thrills me still. This one has a healthy dose of Texas blues and boogie, but also has a couple of tunes that seem to defy categorization. "Manic Mechanic" is cool in an odd kinda way, and prepare to be haunted by "Esther be the one". Another fine timeless work by "That little ol' band from Texas".....

I purchased this cd last month, and love it... I was in high school when this album was released, and loved it then. CD's are easier to maintain and keep safe from damage. This was a great buy for its price.

1 of ZZ TOP's BEST EVER !! This is a must have if you like ZZ TOP !! This cover the true blues to hard hittin and sweet riffs and beats for all plus in addition this was before the 80s transition in music to the pop style beats.
