Dell E171FPB 17" LCD Monitor - Gray

My CRT monitor lasted 12 years , but I needed to replace it . This Dell LCD works like new , and the price was very affordable . I'm glad I passed on the 19 inch screen , for 17 inches is plenty large enough .

I love this monitor I purchased thru ebay. It is everything that it was described to be. It is in great working condition, it was well taken care of and I have had no problems with it since I received it. It has impressed my husband and my purchases sometimes do not do that. I love all the features it has and it is just the size I needed. I can't think of anything about it that I don't like. I can not say enough about how it was just what I wanted. I purchased several monitors before finding one that worked like it was described or just worked. This one was just axesome. I bought it because the monitor I had was the same size in screen but was so large there was no extra space for anything. I knew the only way I would have more space was to go flat screen. This monitor has given me the space I needed, the sharpness is better than I thought it would be and it fits where I needed it to with space for me to work. I just love my purchase thru ebay.

Bought this monitor not working, Replaced LCD screen and Inverter Board. Well worth the investment. Easy to work on, parts readily available. Monitor has a high contrast ratio, clarity is superb and controls easy to use. This monitor replaced a Planar, and the picture is much better and clearer. Using VISTA and Aero, 3D is clear and no screen flicker. Would recommend this Dell to anyone.

I have 3 other monitors 2 Dells and a HP. This has the sharpest, clearest picture and clarity of the monitors I own. Would not hesitate to buy another.
I am sorry but I hate widescreens with a passion so this screens almost square viewing area fits my preferences to a T.

cons: it does not fetch my slippers and newspaper; but then again I do not have to walk it or pick up its droppings either.

I purchased the 17" Dell E171FPb monitor used several weeks ago and have been very pleased with it's performance. I bought the monitor because I was looking for an inexpensive way to replace a damaged monitor in my family's home office and this has definately fit the bill. The only complaint (& it's a minor one) I have is with the appearance. This monitor is square, not rectangular like most. That took a little getting used to. Other than that, an excellent machine.
