75 Years Old and Still Going Strong
Created: 02/02/06
That resourceful sleuthing teen, Nancy Drew, just turned 75 years old. To commerate the event (and to prove that she's never one to be outdated) she has tackled another medium - the graphic novel. Nancy springs vividly to life in these new book-length Manga-inspired illustrated adventures. The Demon of River Heights involves mysterious happenings surrounding the making of a student documentary in Nancy's hometown. Nancy, along with her best friends - cousins George and Bess - are soon knee-deep in clues, secrets and things that go bump in the night - just as fans of Nancy Drew's classic stories remember them to be. Nancy and her pals have been given modern touches - Nancy drives a Hybrid car, George is an internet whiz - but they are still the classic characters that have been appearing in print for decades. The Demon of River Heights ushers in a new Nancy for a new era and will be enjoyed by any Nancy Drew fan, young or old.
