Movie synopsis

The follow-up to his 2003 horror hit HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, Rob Zombie's THE DEVIL'S REJECTS continues the story of a bizarre group of very odd people who like to torture, maim, and kill virtually everyone they come in contact with. When Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) pays a visit to the body-ridden lair of Mother Firefly (Leslie Easterbrook, taking over the role played by Karen Black in the first film), her children Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) are forced to run, eventually holing up in a roadside motel with four hostages (including Clint Eastwood regular Geoffrey Lewis and THREE'S COMPANY star Priscilla Barnes). Seeking help from creepy clown Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), they continue their murderous rampage while being tracked by Wydell, who is hellbent on avenging the death of his brother, which came at the hands of this very weird and dangerous family. As Wydell tortures Mother Firefly for answers, Otis and Baby torture their hostages for kicks. Zombie, a heavy metal musician who leads the group White Zombie, infuses his exciting, funny, and terrifying gorefest with a fabulous 1970s soundtrack, using such songs as Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" and David Essex's "Rock On" at inappropriately riotous moments. Part BONNIE AND CLYDE, part THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, part THE WILD BUNCH, Zombie's bloody barrage is filled with unexpected plot twists and surprises unique to this genre.

Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects is Horrific Fun

Created: 10/03/06
Rob Zombie literally strikes again with The Devil's Rejects - a gross, scary flick that is as over the top as it is well done. Rolling Stone named the Devil's Rejects as one of their top 25 movies in 2005... and for good reason. The relatively no-name cast (including Mrs. Rob Zombie) is terrificly disturbing. The production by Rob Zombie is tremendous - dark, well put together and provocative. Beware though - this movie ranks amoung the top ever in curse words and f-bombs... but if that doesn't bother you, sit back, turn the lights down and the sound way up. Recommended for any date (kind of).

Producer: Andy Gould, Marco Mehlitz, Michael Ohoven, Mike Elliot, Rob Zombie
Cast: Bill Moseley, Deborah Van Valkenburgh, E. G. Daily, Geoffrey Lewis, Ken Foree, Leslie Easterbrook, Mary Woronov, Matthew McGrory, P.J. Soles, Priscilla Barnes, Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, William Forsythe

The Devil's Rejects (2 Disc Directors Cut)

I think this is even better then the "Original", House of 1000 Corpses. The original three, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley and Sheri Moon Zombie are once again Great together. However, Rob Zombie steps it up with Sheriff Wydell played by William Forsythe. An excellant choice for a sheriff with a "bad" side. Bonus DVD was a BIG plus. Interesting to hear what the cast was thinking during the making of the movie.

**THIS IS A GREAT FILM!!** A+++

Why we bought it? We enjoy Rob Zombies wicked production sense, and it is part two of House of 1000 Corpses.

Will you enjoy it? If you like the wicked mind of Producer/Artist Rob Zombie and GREAT GRAPHIC HORROR FILMS. If you enjoyed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, YOU'LL LOVE The Devils Rejects. If you havent yet seen House of 1000 Corpses, you'll want to get your hands on that film as well!

A BRUTAL HORROR FILM! GREAT GRAPHICS and BLOOD SCENES! Somewhat Demented!

Rent It or Buy It? We say....... BUY IT!!!

You shouldnt be disappointed!! This is one movie that we love to watch over and over. We have watched it probably 30+ times since we purchased it!

OUR RATING: 10/10

Rob Zombie is the "NEW" Wes Craven

Created: 08/11/06
This mind-blowing sequel to Rob Zombie's "House of 1,000 Corpses" picks up right at the farmhouse where the first film ended. "The Devil's Rejects" presents us once again with Captain Spaulding, Otis, Baby and Tiny....back and ready to unleash the most deranged torment and blazing killings that Rob Zombie could ever fathom in the original. "The Devil's Rejects" begins with the crew escaping a blazing gun-battle Police Raid at the farmhouse that hosted the kidnappings, slayings and murders from "House of 1,000 Corpses". On the run, the crew of lecherous murderers will once again unleash their souless torture on whoever crosses their path. This tale is so well done by Zombie that it is fair to say he is the "NEW" Wes Craven of the Action-Drama Slashers. "The Devil's Rejects" is everything you think it is. Over-The-Top evil and murderous, right through until the very last seconds. And a finale that is worthy of older classic film-making as well as a tip-of-the-hat to modern day expectations and film-making. Disappointment is not an option. Take this journey and wear a seat-belt. It's not for the faint at heart !!!!

Hit the Mark

Created: 01/07/06
I din't think a lot of people understood this movie which is why it's getting such bad reviews here. As with the first, both movies are meant to have that '70s /'80s B movie feel, hence the soundtrack and being set in this era.

Further, this was not a "Horror" movie either, it was a "shock movie", reference "Natural Born Killers."

This movie answers all of the unanswered questions from "House of 1000 Corpses", going much deeper into character development.

The action was great and some scenes were the most brutal I have ever seen, regardless of genre.

Everyone has a right to criticize and express their opinion, but the negative reviews I have read depict exactly what feeling Zombie was trying to accomplish. A shocking, brutal, fast-paced movie that left the audience constantly repeating "I can't believe ..."

This film was brilliant! As much as I may dislike John Waters movies, I appreciate his artistic views. In the same way, this is a movie not meant for the "general" audience. I would recommend watching the first part prior to "Rejects."
