Die Hard: Vendetta (Nintendo GameCube, 2002)

This is definately one of my favorite games! It has some of the coolest graphics and is a blast to play. There are many different types of weapons and just as many types of bad guys to use them on. If you like games with a good story line to go along with the action, this is one you will like. I chose to buy this game because I am a fan of the movie trilogy and am not disappointed! It stars John McClain and his daughter Lucy. It centers around the son of his arch Nemesis Hans Gruber and the armed robbery of a local museum. Many of the characters from the movie appear in this game and make it even more fun to play. The game offers similar slow motion screen shots as some of the best games around. This is in my Top Favorite games list.

+ Faithfully follows and complements DH (Die Hard) conventions, story lines, characters
+ Actual or very similar voice actors. DH movie quality dialogue.
+/- Helpful auto-aim feature. Makes it a little too easy, but perfect if youre playing it for the story or experience, rather than a challenge.
+ Excellent codes (see gamefaqs website for details)
+ Good, traditional FPS present-day weapons (Desert Eagle, Snubnose pistol, Glock, MP5/K, Sniper)
- Dated graphics.
- Controls are good for a console first-person-shooter; which never is that good. Compensated by autoaim.
- Some objectives are confusing.
- Would have loved more checkpoints, or a save anywhere. Dying or killing a civilian fails the mission and you have to start at last checkpoint, sometimes 5-10 minutes back.

This game is by far one of the great adventure games ever. If you like point and click type of games then I would reccomend this title to you. Graphics are superb.

This was very impressive for being a first person shooter. I think after my son is done with it I am going to have to play it. It has so much actions that john mclaine can do that is pretty cool.

This is an intense game. It is very fast paced and utilizes alot of control functions. (I, being 54 yrs., am having a difficult time managing all of the necessary functions) This was bought as an addition to our game library for the kids & grandkids. The younger people will be able to manipulate the controls a whole lot better than I can. (They have alot more experience with the game controller) It is a shoot'em up game, so may not be appropriate for pre-teens or even early teens. It has great graphics and clarity. I'm certain after I fail a few more times (a hundred or so) that I'll get the hang of it and will enjoy it more.
All-in-all though, if you like fast paced, shoot-em-ups with gore, then this is a game for you.
