So far so good. Unfortunately I really haven't heard the true quality of this pedal yet because I only have my practice amp at home (just bought a vox night train but it's being shipped and my Marshall cab is at a friends house). I have played it at Guitar Center though and it sounds great...can't wait to play it through my amp.

This is the best tube screamer on the market. I saw Paul Bollenback play a gig here in Vancouver, BC 6 weeks ago and loved his tone. He was using an older Boss Tube Screamer to get a beautiful tone that complimented Jim Snidero's sax superbly. I also own a Hardwire Reverb unit so I went for this purchase based on my positive experiences with their product(s). I highly recommend Hardwire units and dealing with this seller :-)

better than TS9! I had to find some alternative to the ibanez tube screamer. i tried the behringer tube screamer, but i guess it did not come close to this one.

This is my third Hardwire.....

I play gigs every week and play every day and played over 25 years. I have owned $300 overdrives because someone said they were the best. Remind me never to do that again. While I love the Kalamazoo and My modded Boss SD-1, this OD goes to another platform, and to a clear articulate one at that. This has much more versatility and tonal options. If you can't dial in the tone you want with these active EQ's then you aren't trying or just want to fail because you are a pedal snob. It has the pushed tube sound, not heavy metal, just like the classic bands that had this tone from the fact they had to push tube amps to cover ground in the audience. I will be replacing a LPB1 with this, since it can add crunch and boost without changing my original tone at all. That is what I wanted, and that's why it got 5 stars from me.
I also own the Delay and Reverb which are both excellent too. This is where I stop with the Hardwire line and I can see them (it) being in my rig until they top this, and not with overly expensive and outdated TS808 clone technology like most of the boutique pedals are, with a little different voicing. This may have the TS clone sound, but the active EQ boost/cut is where its at, rather than a tone roll off pot. Again it may not be what you want, but it does the tube crunch/boost without significant color which excellent in my opinion for the price. Can't believe its a Digitech.Ha!
