Movie synopsis

With DINOSAUR, Disney breaks a new stride in the technological revolution of computer animation: combining computer-animated characters with digitally enhanced live-action landscapes. The effect is literally unbelievable and the clarity, realness, and definition of the pictures easily make the once surprising effects of virtual reality seem like the dark ages.A dinosaur egg is stolen from its nest and passed along by various birds, animals and other predators each hoping to eat it. Fumbled into a community of kind and nurturing lemurs, it cracks open and Aladar, a baby dinosaur emerges. He lives happily and peacefully among the lemurs, who raise him into adolescence. However, when a natural disaster occurs, wiping out the beautiful rainforest that was their home, teenage Aladar joins a dinosaur pilgrimmage--and discovers his true ancestry--in order to bring his lemur family to safety. Far sweeter and much more realistic than recent dinosaur movies like JURASSIC PARK or even classics like THE LAND BEFORE TIME, these new digital dinosaurs are surprisingly human with emotional eyes and expressive voices that make the magic nearly tangible.

a glimps of a world gone forever.

Before cars and planes and wifi. Before cellphones, renters insurance, and labradoodles. Before we domesticated the wolf, and caged the tigers. The planet that we live on was once not owned by man, but was roamed by animals small and large. Sauropods; some 60 feet tall, some 130 feet long. Some just a few feet or less.
Dinosaur is a tale of an iguanodon named Aladar that makes his way to an island while still in an egg and was found by some lemurs who raise him as part of the family. Aladar who feel like something is missing in his life soon finds out what that is when a meteor shower destroys their home and him and his family are forced to find refuge far from home. Following a herd of dinosaurs to the "nesting grownd" (a safe place) he saves his family and some new friends all while finding out what was missing in his life in that place he called home. This movie will bring you back to the world lost in time. A great movie for kids and adults.

Dinosaur DVD

We started a movie collection for our 3 1/2 year old son, and DINOSAUR had to be included. Kal loves dinosaurs and the graphics on the dinosaurs are exceptional, so life like. And the landscapes look great too. The storyline is a good one: Aladar is separated from his kind, he learns what family is, how to be strong and to stand up for what is right. DINOSAUR is visually stunning, exciting, and heart warming. It's everything you'd want and expect in a great Disney movie. It's very unique, one of a kind - that's why we love it.

Love it!

We love to watch Disney's Dinosaur. My 3 year old asks to watch "Aladar" daily. My 5 year old is still afraid to watch the "Carnavours" and buries her head in my chest. I think it's too funny (and I think she thinks it's fun, too!). Great effects & scenery. They did a great job combining the digital with the vistas. We look forward to new, CLEAN movies in the future.

Great family movie for all ages

Created: 20/12/09
Dinosaur is set in the twilight of the dinosaurs, when the killer comet arrives, and deals with the legacy they leave for the emerging mammals. One dinosaur (Aladar) who had been raised by lemurs becomes a sort of "dino Moses" and leads his lemur family to safety after the comet ends the age when his own kind ruled the earth. Away from home and as close to danger as they have ever been, Aladar and his family meet up with a huge group of dinosaurs, led by Kron. All together they are trying to reach the nesting grounds, but it's not going to be easy. Dinosaur is one of Disney's most underrated films.

Wonderful Alader the Dinosaur

Created: 23/01/09
This was a wonderful story for all ages. The special effects was awesome as my 7 year old son would say. First of all my son loves all animals, and he has seen part of this movie before on the Disney Channel. Well he finally got to see this movie from the beginning to the end. The whole family watched it and we enjoyed it very more. The story is very universal, we just need to help each other no matter what our back ground is. Never judge a book by it's cover. We all need a helping hand. If we work together we can do anything. Love and respect is the answer to many things in our lives.

If we can get other series of the Dinosaur, we would great appreciate it. Thanks again, a greatful mother.

Grace
