I have always been a Dire Straits fan and have most of their music on CD. Years ago I purchased a VHS tape of the band called Alchemy and enjoyed it immensely, despite the blurry video. Recently my wife and I enjoyed Mark Knopfler live in concert in our town and then the DVD On The Night arrived. Some of the songs were different but to our enjoyment, some were the same and brought back great memories. The audio similar to their live performances is not of the same standard as their CD's but that is to be expected. We all know the words by heart anyway so it doesn't really matter too much! The guitar playing by Knopfler is somewhat less than perfect but he has a way of adding distinct twists to the program which only he can do. There are better live performers in my estimation but few approach the quality and longevity of this band who in their low key approach capture the hearts of their adoring audience.

Got this on a recommendation from a friend and it was worth every penny. You will spend more on a cd and with this you can watch the top notch guitar skills.
