Disney WOW: World of Wonder (Blu-ray Disc, 2010, 2-Disc Set)

There are many calibration products around, but for HDTVs not much. Even with those, quality and precision may not be at the top, and some on-line only products are too complicated. HDTVs and blu-ray players need a more specific product and Disney's WOW fits the bill.

Image calibration is the most needed, since TVs don't do it by themselves. WOW goes from the simplest visual tools to more precise patterns in a very user-friendly style. With full, but simple explanations you understand why you need this, and you can even choose your specific type of HDTV, which makes the product outstanding.

Regarding the audio calibration, I like the indication for increasing the decibels for the low frequency channel (subwoofer). This is an important detail others don't indicate and it makes all the difference.

I read several reviews about the ease of use for this disc. I agree this dvd and blu-ray are excellent for someone who just bought an lcd, plasma or crt for that matter and wants better picture than what is offered from straight out of the box. If you read the description before using each tool offered on the disc, it will give a better understanding of what to look for and what is going on. I highly recommend this for anyone from the first time big screen buyer to an AV enthusiast.

A lot simplier to use than the old standby like DVE. would be even better to have more demo sample on the second disc.
