Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears (DVD, 2006, 3-Disc Set)

One day I started humming the theme song for the Gummi Bears show,it took me some time to figure our the words and remember what it was from. Then I went on Ebay to try and find it.this is a three disc package that has the complete first season of gummie bears. I love the older disney cartoons that have a good message in them, its hard to find that in alot of the kids shows of today. I have two young girls and I bought it to share with them. Also for nestalgic perposes.

Just like many of the other people purchasing this DVD set, I watched this when I was a child. It was a great cartoon and I was waiting for Disney to release it on DVD. The minute I saw it sitting on the shelf I had to buy it! I would still watch the show on TV every now and again if I just happened to pass by it.

This is only the first three seasons of the show, so we should be expecting to see the rest soon. I recommend this dvd to anyone that was a fan of the show when they were younger. Let your children or younger siblings watch it, as it's great television and not full of the things you see on TV today. This is family television at it's best! Highly Recommended DVD!

"They are the Gummi Bears!"

I was a big fan of the series which aired on ABC saturday mornings. It combined excellant animation, comedy, and lessons in life.
as the series progressed, so did the characters, and their friends.
I bought it to be reaquainted with the series, and to add to our ever growing Disney Collection.
The 3 Dvds had their own sleeves, that fit into a larger title sleeve. their is a full menu of episodes on the back cover, as well as the episodes on each DVD sleeve. There is nothing that I don't like about the set. Other than having the theme song constatntly in my head (It is at the beginning of each episode). all of the original commercials were removed, so each episode is approx. 20 minutes long.
If you were a fan, or never saw any of the series, I highly recommend it for you, and/or your family.

I purchased this collection as a Christmas gift for my wife who is just shy of 30. It was one of her favorite cartoons as a child. We both remember it as kids and wanted our kids to enjoy it as well in the future. Vibrant colors, hand-drawn, and good stories makes for some good viewing in comparison to the Japanese and Chinese cartoons of today. Gummi Bears was popular and competed with DuckTales, Smurfs and other cartoons of the age. I remember eating Jumpin Jack Doritos (White Queso flavor I wish they/d bring back) and clear Pepsi at the time. I'd rush home from school to catch them on TV, then break out the Mountain Bike before hitting the homework. Having them all now lets us watch episodes we both missed and reminds us of our goals we set way back when. We'd both recommend it for old school memories and quality cartoons for the whole family.

This was like being able to go back in time to when I was little and Saturday morning was the only time that you could watch cartoons, and they were NICE!! I am happy that my children will be able to enjoy these cartoons as I once did as a young child. I LOVED the theme song to this show and sing it often, my kids asked one day what was that to? I said the Gummi Bears. My son who is 4, says, you mean the kind you eat? Them not sing Momma!...Of course I instantly get on YouTube and show them! They watched every clip that was on there. I am so excited that I got these. I went from YouTube to Ebay & purchased! Sometimes I just LOVE technology, other times not so much. Kids today dont have any idea what real cartoons are and appreciate that Saturday morning was the only time that you got to watch them. Twenty-four hr channels didn't exsist "back then". Get these you will LOVE sharing some of your childhood with your own children. Just now I wonder what was REALLY in that Gummi Beary juice??!! LOL!!
