    Dog Eat Dog - Warrant

    Created: 11/02/09
I've listened to Warrants first two (and best known) releases "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich" and "Cherry Pie", which are both very enjoyable, so I decided to give their third album "Dog Eat Dog" a listen. Wow! This album really rocks, and easily blows the other two away. Their may not be any singles quite like "Cherry Pie" (which, lead singer Jani Lane wrote in 15 minutes to make the record company happy...and has regretted ever since!) but the song writing on "Dog Eat Dog" is much more mature, the engineering/production is more polished (perhaps because rock veteran Michael Wagener did all the engineering/producing for this album) and the overall quality is just top-notch. The album also has more unity from track to track than either of Warrant's previous albums which makes the listening experience that much greater. This is a must-have for anyone who enjoys an album that's a rockin' good time to listen to!

The direction this band should have started with....

    Created: 30/03/10
Argueably a more dark and dissonant, even diverse, outing for these hair metal pretty boys (yeah - at the time, but now, not so much...).
This CD had gloomier lyrics and heavier syncopated backbone....alot more meat than the pop rocks that were bigger hits from their 1st two records.

    Warrant--Dog Eat Dog

Yet another "Rockin'" CD from Warrant! Great guitars & lyrics, and overall great sounding album! A definite must have for any Warrant fan! Another cd which used to be in my large collection which was foolishly sold and had to be replaced! No dislikes of the album(cd), what-so-ever!!!

I always like the old Warrant, they truly rock, even heavier at this album.
The cover art, songs, lyrics are even grow better in this release.
Warrant truly bring the sound to me, magical. This is the third best albums from them, following the other 2 albums they've release.
Buy this album, you won't regret it. ROCKS!!!

Great CD. Very Different from the Glam/Hard Pop of the previous " Cherry Pie " CD. More Mature songwriting.
