Dogs of War (DVD, 2009)

A great Action movie, Christopher Walken leads a band of mercenaries, into a small African country for a coup d'etat. Wlaken's character is hired by a private group to "remove" the current president, so the private group can invest in mining the platinum they've found there. After a recon trip to the country, Walken's character gathers his dogs of war for final planning and deployment. Of course nothing ever goes exactly as planned. If you are a fan of
Christopher Walken, this is a must have movie.

Action filled war drama centered on a group of mercenaries that set out to
return an corrupt African leader to his throne for pay. Christopher Walken
plays the role as leader of the mercenaries in a great manner. His scouting
expedition to the African nation turns into a nightmare when he is captured
and befriended by a African Doctor who is the real leader of the country and
opposition leader to the ruling dictator. Walken returns with his mercenaries
and takes total revenge on his captors and the army that controlled the country
a bit of a surprise ending--takes place as Walken and his mates turn the tables
on the company that orginally hired him at the end of the movie. GREAT action.

An Early Christopher Walken movie, its about mercenaries and the lives they choose. Excellent, intense acting with a powerful and violent storyline. Walken plays Jamie Shannon, a merc living on the edge of life, going from war to war. He's hired to bring down an African dictator of the worst kind and is almost killed just doing his recon.

From there, its all about the revenge, and the training and weapons and explosives are mindnumbing. Also starring in this movie is Tom Beringer as Jamie's Buddy. If you are into war movies with explosive endings, this is the one for you.

Loved it, needed to replace my old VHS tape. Not as good as the book and of course left out and added a few things. A good war story with a moral point. Like The wild Geese. Loades with details and action. well paced.5 stars at least.
