Dolf De Roos' Real Estate Investor's College by Dolf Deroos (2004, Abridged, Compact Disc)

I like books that don't get into elaborate strategies or courses that require to much setup. Dolf De Roos is a relative newcomer to the real estate investor Guru scene but his material is still what I would consider to be top knotch.

If you are looking to get started then I highly recommend this book as it is not only informative, but motivating as well as it gives you a great checklist of things to get started with. Buy this book if you to get your real estate investing business off the ground and on a good foundation of knowledge.

Even though I have done nearly 200 deals and have 20 years experience I consider myself a lifetime student and I always consider myself on a continuous joruney of learning.

I bought the items with the assumption that there are author's real estate deal technique in written format. There are none and therefore no written reference to refer to later. You have to go through entire audio/video to find a technique you want to learn. ****DVD- Collection of Q&A from different seminar sites *****CD - Recording of an entire seminar from one location. Probably better off buying the author's old book from a local bookstore.

As an experienced real estate investor I will tell you that Dolf De Roos' doesn't really have any spectacular new strategy to teach about real estate.

I bought this and several other products of Dolf De Roos last year on ebay and I have gone through them thoroughly. Although I wans't enlightened per say on techniques I highly recommend this material for someone just getting started out.

As for me the lesson I "Re-learned" was just to keep it simple. Real estate investing is not rocket science it is simple do the research make the offer make a profit repeat. The value I gained was a re-learning of mindsets I was slacking off a bit on, and the renewal of many ideas I myself have used and forgotten.

If you are just getting started out in investing then this book is for you and a highly recommended read. If you are an experienced investor like me then it is an ok read for "Keeping the saw sharp" so to speak.

Some of the stuff was a bit boring as this is just a seminar/workshop that they recorded. The most boring parts were when the guests tell their experiences and ideas..and I'll be blunt some of the students there are idiots lol but Dolf sucks up and applauds their ideas anyway..

All and all, its an OK program, you get the basic insights of real estate investing although it doesn't appear that they are in the US during the seminar. Some of the stuff doesn't apply. But for the price, its worth it. Alot of info for $20 or so and you can resell it after you're done. For free advice and tips check out InvestorCycle.com, its a free blog.

What an incredible value. This just covers so many things that it's almost impossible to not learn something that makes you more money than you paid for the product, probably thousands more.

It is very easy to follow along with, very easy to listen to, very well done. It's great to learn how to think like a big player in real estate, either commercial or multifamily.
