    Album Notes
Boston: Brad Delp (vocals); Tom Scholz (guitar, piano, organ, bass); Barry Goudreau (guitar, percussion); Fran Sheehan (bass, percussion); Sib Hashian (drums, percussion).Additional personnel: Cindy, Gloria, Rob, Tom (percussion).Recorded at Tom Scholz' Hideaway Studio and Northern Studio, Maynard, Massachusetts.Boston: Brad Delp (vocals); Tom Scholz (guitar, bass guitar); Barry Goudreau (guitar); Fran Sheehan (bass guitar); Sib Hashian (drums).Boston's many fans were upset that it took the band two years to follow up its monster debut. When it arrived, the sophomore effort DON'T LOOK BACK was a virtual rewrite of BOSTON. This didn't stop the masses from snapping up the album, which ultimately racked up sales in the multi-platinum range.Boston sounds inspired on the anthemic title track. Other standout tracks include "It's Easy" and "Man I'll Never Be." The hard-rocking "Don't Be Afraid" closes the album. And two years would prove to be nothing in light of the eight-year hiatus between DON'T LOOK BACK and Boston's next release, 1986's THIRD STAGE.

OOP Boston Don't Look Back Digipak W/ Live Bonus Tracks

    Created: 02/07/06
Like the Boston S/T Digipak, this particular Boston DON'T LOOK BACK digipak is very rare, being as it was never supposed to be released. The record company remastered the cd with bonus tracks and got it set for release; Tom Scholz heard about it and wasn't happy about not being involved, so the record company decided to let him remaster it, and shelved the plans to release the digipak with bonus tracks. But somehow, copies of the digipak got shipped to Canada and the stores that got them started to sell them. The record company got wind of the mistake, and had them pulled off the shelves...but a few got sold before that happened, hence the rarity of this particular Mark Wilder remastered release. Scholz's remaster has been released, with no bonus tracks, which makes it easy to differentiate between the two.

It still sounds damn good to my ears - a sonic blast from the past that leaves me feelin' satisfied.

    thank you

This is a fricken awesome album, Boston's second release LP. I lost my copy and of course had to replace it. This is late 70's True Rock N Roll, every song on this LP kicks ass.

I like Boston. My Teenager keeps trying to swipe my music. This is the second in a series that I have complete now. I was a bit skeptical of the digital remix vs. old vinyl but it came out fine. Boston lives on with a new generation.
