Movie synopsis
A gang of high-tech thieves, led by Marcus (Omar Epps) and Solina (Jennifer Esposito), break into a vault buried deep in the heart of London hoping to find treasure. Instead, they succeed in reviving an ancient evil--the legendary Count Dracula himself (Gerard Butler), who terrorized England a century earlier until he was stopped by Dr. Abraham Van Helsing. Now, Dracula makes his way to modern New Orleans to track down Mary Heller (Justine Waddell), an innocent young woman haunted by dreams she doesn't understand. Matthew Van Helsing (Christopher Plummer), Dracula's current keeper, must track the Count down with the help of his assistant, Simon (Jonny Lee Miller), but they also have to deal with the vampire's new victims, who soon return from the dead, thirsty for blood. Can Dracula be stopped before he seduces Mary and begins a new reign of terror, or do secrets from his past hold the key to destroying him forever? DRACULA 2000 is an energetic vampire story featuring intense fight sequences and a unique re-imagining of the Dracula legend.

) I love Gerard Butler so maybe thats why I love this movie-hes sexy in this movie,considering most actors that play Dracula arent-but this one plays out very well! Even though Bram Stokers Dracula with Gary Oldman-who also makes another sexy Dracula-is far a better movie-this one is worth to at least check out to see for yourself!Its not one of those tacky low-budget ones that if theyre going to make a Vampire movie their way then bore you with it!And even though Christopher Lee makes the best Dracula- this movie is a great! Rent it first,or buy it-I love this movie!

) Bought the movie for Mr. Butler. It was good, not very scary, but that's not really what I was looking for/expecting. He was scary in a few scenes when he was attacking 'guys' & Mary @ the end. He's a great actor & if you simply want an hour or so to gaze @ him in wonder - this is great. He's gorgeous & his personality off set makes him that much better looking. The special features are fun; especially what he says when he's 'thrown' out of the water in the one scene that was really cool & shouldn't have been cut from the final version.

) Dracula has always held a fascination for me, and I've watched numerous movies about him. The ending in this movie was an interesting twist that I thoroughly enjoyed, it was a concept I hadn't thought of before. To me Dracula's draw has always been that you're attracted to him and hate him at the same time, and Gerard Butlers performance makes you feel just that way - attracted and repelled. And also sad - I felt sorry for him. That was a new one for me. There were so many familiar faces in this movie and I loved Christopher Plummers portrayal of Van Helsing, who's character also has an interesting twist to it. I think that was what set this movie apart, it had so many new interpretations, it wasn't just another Dracula movie.

) Amazing DVD, Gerard Butler is a plus. Also catch him in the phantom of the opera. This is the best vampire movie ever in my opinion, beating underworld 1 and 2 & Van helsing and the likes. I've seen many vampire movies, because that is my favourite genre of movies, but this is unbeatable. Add in Jennifer Esposito, and its A+++++++.

) I have always be a Dracula fan since I was a youngster. Gerald Butler is the handsome vampire, he does a great job of acting. It in my estimation is better than the Bram Stoker's Dracula movie. Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman was good, since he looks good like Gerald Butler in this movie. I found this one had a bit more interesting twist than past movies about Vampires. Worth the price, you will enjoy it.
