    Great title

    Created: 14/02/10
This is a great movie for dragon and knight lovers. It tells the story of a man who befriends a dragon to deceive the villagers. The dragon scaries the villagers and the man appears as the solution to their problem hence cathing the dragon and getting paid for it. The kings son is an evil man, but in receiving a mortal wound the queen begs the dragon to give him half his heart so he may live to become a good man. For love of the queen, the dragon obeys. The king's son lives to become an evil ruler. He keeps the dragon chained and hidden so no one would kill him for if the dragon dies so does he. The knight who protected the king and was also the son blamed the dragon for the evilness of the heart. He went on a mission killing all dragons until one remained: Draco.

This movie has action, comedy, some drama and suspense. Great fighting scenes. I recommend it.

Dragonheart, a fun reminder of a simpler time.

    Created: 01/03/10
I remember seeing this movie years ago when it was in theaters and then I think again as a blockbuster rental one time (MAYBE).

Anyways, I saw the HD-DVD copy, and said, hey for a few bucks why not??!!

Moving on, the movie was just such a small scale production compared to even the more "b" sword and sorcery movies of today. I remember that Draco the dragon was a big CG breakthrough, and from a nostalgic perspective it was cool to see how much better the CG has become over the years.

The movie was pretty fun to watch, and seeing Dennis Quaid do his version of a post-dark-ages-gruff-warrior-brittish accent is pretty good.

The movie isn't for your discerning film critic, nor is it an AMAZING HD-Transfer. It does look better than it ever did before, and if you enjoyed this movie years ago, most likely you'll like the HD-verion as well.

Great effects, great story, but Medieval Quaid?

    Created: 12/03/10
Great story, great special effects, great casting except for the fact that Dennis Quaid should have never attempted a British accent. Excitement from the very beginning all teh way to the end. The ending was a little corny, virtually stolen from "Angels in the Outfield". Excellent performance by David Thewlis as the bad guy! Despite its flaws, I'm very glad to have this one to watch over and over!

    A classic for all ages

I am personally not into dragon movies but my son really wanted to see it and because Sean Connery's voice was in it my mother wanted to see it as well. I grugedly went along with their wishes. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed it so much that I had to purchase a copy for my personal DVD collection. My son and my mother also enjoyed it...a classic good movie for all ages!
