Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury/Book of Dragons (Blu-ray/DVD, 2011, 2-Disc Set, With Online Video Game)

My family LOVED the original "How To Train You Dragon" movie, so it was with tremendous excitement that we sat down to watch this new Dragons show. Well, from Mom and Dad to each of our three kids I can universally say that we were disappointed and it is unlikely that we will ever watch this show again. The running time on the Gift of the Night Fury is only about a half hour; same for Book of Dragons. So much more could have been done with the Gift story. In fact, it was ironic that in the extras one of the producers was commenting on the need to cut content during production in order to save time. What? The original "Dragon" had great characters and a great message. So why the need for a 1/2 hour fluff piece . . . I know, to make a buck during the holiday season. I would highly recommend that you NOT make the mistake of adding this DVD to your collection.

Basically a little short produced by dreamworks, nothing major is added to the main story line, main reason for my buying it was to see what the short was but it wasnt that big of a thing. Though you could play the game if you want but most movie to game games arent that great

Adorable shorts. Feel good and worth the money. Something for the kid in all of us. Definitely a must watch for any How to train your dragon fans!!!

100% worth buying. I loved this as much as the feature. I recommend everyone buy this!!! It's a funny and heart warming story about the Viking Holiday. Perfect for all ages -- just like the movie. Well done!
