Movie synopsis

Comedy Central's animated series DRAWN TOGETHER delivers a much-needed black eye to the glut of reality television shows with an edgy cartoon parody whose plotlines invariably resolve themselves with lesbian makeout sessions in a booze-fueled hot tub. Rendered in a vibrantly colorful style of animation designed to mimic shows like BIG BROTHER, THE SURREAL LIFE, and THE REAL WORLD, this outrageous series follows the racy exploits of eight hilariously stereotypical cartoon characters forced to live together as roommates: clueless superhero Captain Hero; racist Disney princess Clara; sassy R&B singer Foxxy Love; zaftig Betty Boop-lookalike Toot; closeted gay video-game hero Xandir; womanizing Internet pig Spanky Ham; Pokemon-styled trading card character Ling-Ling; and drunken Spongebob wannabe Wooldoor Sockbat. Created by Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser, DRAWN TOGETHER is a politically incorrect sendup of orchestrated "reality" replete with offensive adult-oriented humor and scads of sexual innuendo. This collection presents all eight episodes of the series' debut season in uncensored versions.

If you are easily offended by ANYTHING,this is not for you.This show is full of four letter words,cartoon nudity,bodily fuctions,racist and homophobic references,you name it.Nothing is 'off limits' here.But then again the outrageous-ness (is that a word?)is part of why I loved this show.You never can guess how LOW they will go for a joke.The characters are all 'composites' of cartoon characters we all know (Betty Boop,Pikachu,SpongeBob,etc)but are all dysfunctional in their own ways.The show with the pizza was truly disgusting,yet I howled with laughter because I could not believe that they did such a thing in a cartoon-even an adult-themed one on late at night.If you have a good sense of humor and are not offended by racist slurs,bad language and 'toilet humor'-you will be "drawn" to buy this.I have already ordered season two.

Well, I guess I first saw this show on TV sometime last year. It's a cartoon reality tv show. All of the characters look like various characters from cartoons and movies. For example: One looks like Ariel from the Little Mermain, Superman, someone from Josie and the Pussycats, Betty Boop, Pikachu, etc. Of course, all these characters are all dysfunctional in some way, which brings them closer together.

I would recommend this DVD set you're into cartoons, reality tv, perverted humor, among other things.

This is such a great spoof on reality shows like Big Brother, and other reality show pap, that it rocks. Throwing a bunch of cartoon characters from different times and universes together in one house is inspired, and the show is as wacky as animation gets. The revolt against the "producers" behind the show within a show is brilliant. Good humor, sometimes reaching to the depths of immaturity, but also offering sophisticated observations on the nature of real reality as well. I had never seen the TV shows, so this was really entertaining.

I love this show. One of the quality tasteless humor and off colour joke shows on television, and now you can see all the stuff that you could not on tv. I have watched every episode over and over again. I have to say taht The Other Cousin is the best. I have to stop the DVD to stop laughing and regroup to move on with it. Cousin Bleh makes it all worth it. Now, every episode has great points and things that will make your mouth drop. There will be times where you cannot believe it was just used. Now if you are sensitive and are not okay with humor like this, pass on this item. If making fun of right wingers, mentally challenged people, homo jokes and pushing the envelope of humor is your style you must have this. You will not regret it at all.

If you have seen this show on T.V. and laughed, you won't be able to stop laughing with these unscensored versions! All the potty humor is amplified and you will have a blast trying to find the newly unscensored parts. A must have for your adult cartoon collection.
