I Dream of Jeannie---The Complete Season #3
Created: 10/05/10
By its third season, the 1960s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie just got sillier--which is not necessarily a bad thing. Given that the show's premise involves a half-naked woman subservient to an astronaut, we're clearly watching a rampant male fantasy to begin with; it's the goofiness (ably executed by the stars) that gives the show charm instead of smarm. So bring on the evil twin sister, Jeannie 2; the Hawaiian royalty; guest appearances by Don Rickles, Paul Lynde, and Milton Berle; an epic (for a sitcom) four-episode story about Jeannie being trapped in a safe that's about to be sent to the moon; the groovy rock band (in an episode featuring record producer Phil Spector, later to become a gun-toting recluse, as himself)...it's all turned into a delirious soup of 1960s farce by Barbara Eden (who perfected the combination of sexy/ditzy long before Jenna Elfman or Jessica Simpson), Larry Hagman (one of the nicest guys on TV until he became ubervillian JR Ewing on Dallas), Bill Daily (among the greatest second bananas of all time), Hayden Rorke (the perpetually stymied Dr. Bellows), and Emmaline Henry (Mrs. Bellows, a hip and sexy older woman in the decade that launched the idolization of youth). I Dream of Jeannie scrupulously avoided political or social relevance--when Mrs. Bellows thinks that Jeannie is a young woman enslaved by Major Nelson and tries to rescue her, this troubling idea is played for laughs--but that puts the show in an engaging bubble of entertainment, as out-of-synch with its own era as much as with ours.
Back in the blink of an eye are Barbara Eden as Jeannie and Larry Hagman as Major Nelson in I Dream of Jeannie: The Complete Third Season. The four disc box set features all 26 episodes. Third season highlights include three episodes shot on location in Hawaii, the first appearance of Jeannie’s evil sister and guest stars including Bob Denver, comedian Don Rickles, Milton Berle, Hawaiian singer Don Ho and music producer Phil Spector.

I Dream Of Jeannie Season 3 on dvd
Created: 05/01/07
"I Dream Of Jeannie" Season 3 was just released on January 30th and it is now available on Ebay and various other websites. Season 3 has a lot of great episodes and this will be the first season to air Jeannie's evil twin sister and there will also be a 4-part episode entitled "Who's Got The Genie" 1-4.
I must say that there are a few problems with the set.. On the "Bootsie Nightengale" episode the last 15 minutes of the show are very distored. I checked the discs and my dvd player and decided to return my set for another one because I thought that maybe I purchased a bad set but it happened again on the second set. I found out by reading online that this was one default on this set as well with a mistake on the box. The box reads that episode #13 "My Son The Jeannie" is on disc three but if you go to disc three it is no where to be found. I finally found episode #13 on disc two instead, as this was another mistake Sony made and should have been checked before hitting the shelves. I have talked to Sony and they are aware of the problems and they said that it is still under investigation, as of today no replacements have been made!
This set is still worth buying if you are a true Jeannie fan and all of the other episodes on this set are perfect.. I am just a little disappointed that Sony did not take the time with this set, like they did with the other two seasons of "I Dream Of Jeannie"! I hope that they will continue to bring the rest of the seasons of IDOJ!!
The average price this set is going for is 27.99-29.99 and is available online through several websites including Amazon, Walmart, Deep Discount Dvd, and several other websites. You can also purchase this set in most video and department stores but I recommend checking Ebay out first to see if they have the lowest prices.
Here is a complete list of all 26 digitally remastered episodes that are included with this set:
1.) Fly Me To The Moon
2.) Jeannie Or The Tiger?
3.) The Second Greatest Con Artist In The World
4.) My Turned-On Master
5.) My Master, The Weakling
6.) Jeannie, The Hip Hippie
7.) Everybody's A Movie Star
8.) Who Are You Calling A Jeannie?
9.) Meet My Masters Mother
10.) Here Comes Bootsie Nightingale
11.) Tony's Wife
12.) Jeannie And The Great Bank Robbery
13.) My Son, The Jeannie
14.) Jeannie Goes Honolulu
15.) The Battle Of The Waikiki
16.) Who's Got The Genie (1)
17.) Who's Got The Genie (2)
18.) Who's Got The Genie (3)
19.) Who's Got The Genie (4)
20.) My Master The Ghostbreaker
21.) Please Don't Feed The Astronauts
22.) Divorce, Jeannie Style

I Love I Dream Of Jeannie!
Created: 04/03/07
This is DVD is excellent in providing the entire 3rd season of the classic TV show I Dream of Jeannie.. But there are many video errors on this release by Sony Home Pictures Entertainment. Not a very good production on the 3rd season on DVD.. There are also errors on the DVD cases listing certain programs on certain discs.. I have returned my Season 3 to Sony and am awaiting their investigation and a positive resolution. Other IDOJ fans I know have had the same problem with their Season 3 DVD release. Please ensure a copy you are interested in has a sticker that states 26 episodes and not 35!!! Any question, please message davidgl17 thru Ebay.. Thanks..

I Dream of Jeannie is a GREAT Show
Created: 23/01/08
I had watched I Dream of Jeannie when it was on the air and always loved it. It has been a real treat to get to watch it again and again. It is so funny. I am a big fan of the older shows. My 29 year old niece and my 10 year old great niece has fell in love with the Jeanie and her master, so it is for the younger generations too. We love watching it together and having a very good laugh. I just bought season 4. 1 - 4 is all they have on DVD at the moment and we have them all. GREAT SHOW!! Wonderful entertainment. Love it, love it, love it...humm I think I will go watch I Dream of Jeannie.
