No Longer A Sweet Transvestite

Pros: Tim Curry, John Ritter, Richard Thomas

Cons: No Sequal

Tim Curry is now every Childs nightmare a killer Clown from Hell! As I have said before I hate long movies, this one is well over 4 hours long...but worth ever second..Movie opens on little Georgie he wants to go out and play with a paper boat made by his older Brother Bill played by Richard Thomas..big mistake..the town of Derry is plagued by a child killer..the extent of the danger isn't known until after Georgie is murdered..as the movie progresses the killer is unmasked rather ungrease painted..Tim Curry is the perfect Penny Wise..a sadistic killer who feeds off fear and innocense..however Penny Wise doesn't count on a small group of 7 Friends banding together to put a stop to his rather Its' killing spree..fast forward all 7 are grown (among them John Ritter in a stellar performance)) and are called back It is back and the killings are starting up..filled with horror, humour, drama and yes love, this movie is a feast of delights for fans of every genre..Give this film a chance you wont be disappointed!!

Scary!

Created: 10/11/05
I first saw this movie when I was really young and to this day clowns still creep me out. An all star cast (Annette O'Toole, Harry Anderson, Jarred Blanchard, John Ritter, Jonathan Brandis, Megan Leitch, Seth Green, Sheila Moore, Tim Curry, Tim Reid, and more!) that does a wonderful job in this movie. Children go missing in a small town called Dixie. While parents are baffled, a group of kids knows what happened. They fight the evil, seeming to destroy it, and swear to each other if it ever came back they would come back and fight it together no matter what. They grow up and It comes back. Reunited they group together and the show down begins. A great Stephen King story that is sure to chill you to the bones. Not much blood/gore, but I wouldn't recommend small children watching this movie. A great movie to watch while sitting in the dark on a stormy night.

It - The Movie That Made It Acceptable To Fear Clowns

Created: 05/03/09
In what may be one of the possibly-best adaptations of a Stephen King classic, "It" manipulates one of the most common phobias in the world even today- "the fear of clowns"!!! When the movie "It" came out in 1990, it was a chilling depiction of seven children and their battle against their fears and a demon who manipulated himself in the form of an "evil clown" and their "later in life" determination to destroy "It". Looking back, nearly 20 years later, it can still hold it's own with horror movies being made today- in the 21st century. With an all-star cast ranging from Harry Anderson to John Ritter(R.I.P) to then virtually unknown Seth Green, the story and the characters make "It" an instant classic. Unless you have an extreme fear of clowns, this movie is a must see!!!!!

I didnt .ike it at all! it was very boring. No scary parts at all!

It is a 1986 horror novel by American author Stephen King. The story follows the exploits of seven children as they are terrorized by the eponymous monster "It", a shapeshifter that takes the form of its victims' deepest fears. "It" primarily appears in the form of "Bob Gray" a.k.a. "Pennywise the Dancing Clown," described as resembling a combination of Bozo and Clarabell, in order to attract its preferred prey of young children, though it occasionally feeds on adults. The novel is told through narratives alternating between two time periods, which shift among the different perspectives of its protagonists. It deals with themes which would eventually become King staples: the power of memory, childhood trauma, and ugliness lurking beneath a facade of traditional small-town values. The novel won the British Fantasy Award in 1987, and received nominations for the Locus and World Fantasy Awards that same year.[1] Publishers Weekly listed It as the best-selling book in America in 1986.
