| The object of the game is to conquer 60 cities throughout China. In between battles, you'll move your armies on the classic RoTK map. The story will change depending on the route you take to victory or defeat. You'll be able to move multiple armies at once on the map screen and give each of them orders to carry out different missions. To increase your number of officers, you can hire new ones or capture the officers of your enemy. Diplomatic missions might enable you to cross allied territory or call an end to hostility. You'll also be able to use spies to soften up enemy defenses or get officers to defect to your side. The infantry units you'll use in battle are divided into footmen, archers, cavalry, and specialized troops. Each of those categories has multiple stages of progression. For instance, once your archers gain enough experience, they can become longbowmen or crossbowmen, followed by marine and arbalest. | |

) For anyone who has played Final Fantasy Tactics, or any of the Dynasty Warriors Series, this is another winner. I love this game. Instead of leading one character around the screen step by step, you lead armies and fight it out with other armies. You get special tactics that you can use. Raid, Repel, et al. This is definitely another winner from the series and I am a big fan of the series. Your generals level up and you have to use strategy to move through the game. You can play the same game with different results everytime. I would absolutely recommend this game to everyone out there. I think it matches up well to Final Fantasy Tactics which I also am a big fan of. I really can't think of anything I dislike about this game. I bought this because I am a big fan of the series and I have Dynasty Warriors 2 through 4, including the expansions like Empires and Extreme Warriors. I also picked up 5 and 6. I don't yet have a playstation 3, so I can't get the more recent games, but I hope to in the next couple of years. Enjoy this game, I know I will. Thanks for the time and space.

) This game is actaully pretty darn good. I didn't know what to expect, but once you pick up the gameplan and learn the basics, it draws you in. I only own a PS2, so my game library has been lacking strategy games. Beyond KOEI, there really isn't anyone daring enough to enter this realm. I thank them for that and wish there were more games like this. These games are definitely worth the money because it isn't mindless button mashing, but thinking. I know that shocks people in this day and age. The game has challenge, so if you are afraid to lose and are a controller tosser/smasher when you lose at video games, you might want to take that into account. All in all, I loved this game!

This games is excellent. I only wish it were bigger and longer with more starting chars. I can't wait to get the 2nd Dynasty Tactics game
