Product Information
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires is game that brings together the best aspects of the action and strategy genres. In this latest edition, players can experience Ancient China's greatest and most glorious war as an all-powerful lord or as an officer.

As a lord, gamers must think strategically. By deciding when to attack, when to resist invasion, or when to initiate policies, a lord can expand their power and influence. An easy-to-learn "card collecting" system lets players enact policies that will increase their empire's strength, improve the abilities of their forces, and more. The cards that a player receives will depend on the attributes of the officers and their army.

    Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires....

    Created: 25/09/09
At first glance this game was closer to what I wanted to see from any Dynasty Warriors Empires game. The ability to create about a hundred Custom characters with alot of detail to how they look and the ability to change the pitch and tone of their voice, to unlock alot of outfits for them, To be a ruler, officer or vagrant mercenary. The ability to swear oaths, befriend other officers, get married and so on.

But then reality set in. When I beat the game the first time I was level 41. I thought cool next time I play I will max my guy out. NOT TRUE!! I lost my level and so did every other officer. All I could keep was my weapon and horse... Next time I played I was level 1 again... And even died in 2 hits to a Second Class Officer in SUPER UBER GLOWY RED MODE because he inspired himself somehow...by saying some lame comment that would not inspire me enough to eat my favorite food TACOS...

People say it would be to easy to keep levels in this game. NO DUH, the point for me is to gain power and strength and then be greater then before. I like getting powerful. If I wanted to I could later work on 1 of 99 other created officers or one of the MANY MANY MANY MANY in game officers. The challenge comes from moving to harder modes of gameplay it goes from Easy - Chaos. That's where the game gets challenging. But Koei for some reason took out the ability to keep levels. I hate that. I based getting my PS3 entirely on this game and I failed. For I did not research the level factor. I assumed that it would be like Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires, Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires and Samurai Warriors 2 Empires where you gain and keep your levels. I am sorely dissapointed. I suggest if you love Dynasty warrior games to Stick with the older ones if you wanna try this game go ahead. But Do not expect to keep levels, gems, gold or get 1000KO titles or anything like that. You can after playing enough get some Points to continue to keep your weapons and horses and start with some gold and get a few gems but its not as good as keeping all you earned and saved while playing. And honestly I still have yet to get oath brothers in game OR figure out that entire officer marriage thing. its not as simple as it says when I read how to achieve them.

if you love hack and slash games then it may be fun. Even more so if you can get a friend to play with you. BUT in order to have a friend play as an officer or vagrant with you, you have to befriend an officer before he can play or start as a ruler with some officers you picked to join you then choose step down.

All in all I love Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games. But I cannot afford to buy a NEW PS2 to play the old games not that I have many left I sold them to save for my PS3. And my PS3 cannot play PS2 games anyway... So I am left with Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires... Which is more work then relaxing. I would rather keep my levels then have to level myself over and over and over every time I play the game.

    Pros:
    Nice Graphics
    Lots of Created Character slots
    Lots of Character Customization
    Has Co-Op game play
    A lot of mercenary Missions
    Decent Viewing Distance in game
Ability to Change voice pitch and tone
    Decently Large Maps

    Cons:
    Unable to keep Levels
Some main characters have the "same Weapon Fighting Styles"
Unable to just find horses as far as I can tell outside of buying them.
Second Class Characters in game can kill you in a few hits.
Annoying one liners over and over when you kill an officer
    No versus mode

    DW6E Review

    Created: 22/03/10
Yes, this is the same old Dynasty Warriors, and what's wrong with that? Nothing! If you are a fan of the series you'll love this game. If you aren't, and it's your job to review games even though you don't really know what they are about, then you're bound to not like the game so much.

If you're the kind of person who likes to rent dime-a-dozen sports games every weekend then this game isn't for you. Dynasty Warriors is about repetition. It's the repetition that is fun to some people. So for Gamespot to give the game poor reviews because the game is repetitive is just ridiculous.

I gave this game a 10 even because I love it and I think it deserves more recognition than what it has been given.

Here's a small list of things I like most about Dynasty Warriors:

    1. Lasting replayability. You could send weeks playing this game. And if you are a fan of this genre then you'll be able to play it even longer.

    2. Leveling characters. In Dynasty Warriors when you play you don't feel like you are wasting your time. You get to have your fun and actually get somewhere, even if it's just single player.

    3. Items drop. Once you reach the end game in Dynasty Warriors you can go item hunting. For rare weapons and for rare horses and the like. It's very much like a single player MMO.

Once again, you'll love this game if you are capable of loving this kind of game. It's not for everybody.

It was pretty easy. Pretty okay for a DW6 game.
    Pros:
    - The feeling you get when you rule China
    - "Create-A-Warrior"
    - Easy Platinum Trophy
    - Interesting Ending Scenes.
    Con:
    - 4 "color" Costumes
    - No weapon changes
    - Random Events System (Annoyance when finding officers)
    - VERY VERY repetitive base gathering.

I love Dynasty Warriors, PS3 game w/ new ideas

    Created: 03/03/11
If you like Dynasty warriors this is much of the same as the other Empire games. Some new strategy play is introduced, some is better some is the same. I just like to mash the bottons and conquer the country. If you like the DW series this is fun for PS3.....I will be playing this game for a long long time.

    Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires

    Created: 30/07/09
The game is very fast paced strategic game. This is just like all the other dynasty warrior and samurai warrior games. So if you like them, there is no doubt that you will enjoy this game as well. Koei just keeps improving the physics engine, the characters and graphics. So if you aren't tired of hacking away at warriors with a whole bunch of characters you won't remember the name of, this game is certainly for you.
    Pros:
    Great graphics
A lot of customization and characters
Large maps, a lot of quests to do
    Cons:
Can get repetitive if you don't truly enjoy these mindless hack n' slashes. This has more development in the combo system than most, but still the same concept.
