) Brand new, how can you not like it! Awesome handheld! I use it for dog hair on our couch and in the car. Works great. I also, use it for cleaning ashes up aroung the fireplace. The dyson is probably the best handheld because it never loses suction, so no matter how full it is, it still picks up everything you need it to. I think this dyson is stronger than our DC17 dyson vaccum cleaner, because of it's optional power boost.

I now have two "animals" in my home - the latest DC25 Animal bagless upright for general cleaning of our new carpeting. I needed something handheld for our carpeted stairs. Voila. The new Dyson handheld Animal DC31. The power is awesome. I've never had a problem with the battery time. If you are spending more than 6-10 minutes with a handheld, then you are using the wrong tool. Worth every penny.

The Dyson DC31 animal works fine. But, I really object to the short 10 mins. low suction and the 6 mins. of high suction. Pobably wouldn't recomend it unless they really understood it's for very small pick-ups. I do like the weight and ease of operation.
Works well for my intended uses.

Bought for doing the stairs and other quick vacuum jobs. It light weight and easy to empty. If your vacuuming takes greater than 5 minutes, look for another vacuum. Battery life is short.
