I remember the first time I ever played a sega genesis. We had asked and asked for a super nintendo, but the genesis was cheaper, so Christmas day I opened it and saw the words "gaming system" and was at once overjoyed, until I got the package opened, and my face fell dark. What was this? Filth I say! I watched with disdain as my father hooked it up to the television, knowing I would hate it and it would be more lame than our Nintendo, which due to a resetting issue on super tecmo bowl during the freakin superbowl had met with the bottom of a converse sneaker and lost.
The controller in my hand, my expectations low, I started the game, something about a blue hedgehog. And that, my friends, is when I knew I was born to play this game until the next gen systems came out.
Playing ea replay is kind of like that, but without the being blown away part. Budokan is a skidmark of a game. It sounds cool, but the moves are so slow You wonder if this guy ever really took karate or not. road rash 1-3 is pretty much the same game but dumber through each iteration. the desert strike and jungle strike are kind of cool, but depressing because most of that stuff is in one form or another happening now. BOB is actually pretty cool, I never played it on the genesis. The thing that gets me most is they are not the best ports of a 15 year old system and they SHOULD be... there is no reason for the psp to not be able to fly through these games, and it can't. for that I give it a thumbs only slightly up from center...the games were once good, but just like the hottie you took home from the bar once the packaging is all off you'll want to return it and have a few more brew. Or milks if your young, either way.

ea replay is a good title for the psp, brings back alot of memories. The main reason why I bought the game was for Desert Strike. The other games are good too when your on the road. Overall I would give this game a 6/10. Nice "throw back" game.

Great Clasics

Created: 09/09/07
I think its great to play from my roots. These are games that I grew up with, and never owning a sega (had to go to a friends house) makes this deal even sweeter. I really liked Road Rash, the main reasion I bought this game and this game comes with all 3! Yeah the karate game sucks, Wing Commander is ok, BOB is funny. I don't know for what I paid for the game I think it was worth it mainly because of Road Rash.

Nice Assortment of Classics

Like the wing commander games, as well as the 'strike series' available to play anytime.

looks better than it ever seemed to on a sega genesis, or a 386pc

could have used a couple more titles in the wing commander series. i am sure there was room for them.

enjoyable.

Great value and set of games

Created: 20/02/08
Great set of games for hours of entertainment. What a value as the price is very reasonable for 14 games! We've had lots of fun playing the different games.
We're huge Road Rash fans, and the other games were just bonuses!
