Product description

Product Information
Players who believe that variety is the spice of good games will be in nirvana here: one minute our hero is bungee jumping by a thread of mucus, the next he's riding a space-rocket through an asteroid belt. The game leans heavily on cockeyed humor, so steer clear if you've had it up to here with jokes about intestines, corporate lawyers and power-mad goldfish. Jim's arsenal is a bit on the skimpy side, although in the annals of video games the sight of an oversized annelid cracking his own head like a bullwhip is surely unique. The play control could use more polish, especially since most of the action involves running and jumping. On the whole, though, EWJ's legions of fans are far more interested in 'tude than gameplay mechanics.

Good rendition! not perfect though

Created: 16/03/11
Well honestly its about a thousand times better than the one for the original gameboy, and I mean who doesn't love earthworm jim in your pocket?? But like a true gamer its not perfect, for example it runs a bit slow when you shoot and use whip and sounds seem to lag. Also, minute changes they made in the bosses and sounds are sometimes hard to beat or understand. But over all I love it the graphics look exactly like the sega version.

Strange kind of game with an earthworm being the hero, but really fun to play. Graphics and sounds are good even though the screen is small. Some of the levels are very hard, but some of the levels have secret places if you can find them. I was pleased with my purchase.

Earthworm Jim

Ah the joy of being able to play all of those old super nintendo games of my mispent adolesence. Earthworm Jim is just one of many that I enjoyed and frittered away many an hour on. Here is a hero that we all can relat to; a lowly worm until a super suit falls on him from outer space, and POW! Instant super hero. And he needs all the help that he can get, what with the evil psy-crow kidnapping his girlfreind the beautiful princess whats her name.

Theres a little bit of Jim in all of us, I think, and now, I can once again vicariously be a super hero worm, just as you can.

an awsome game for anyone of all ages. it is a story about earthworm jim and his various enemies in the actual series. excellent game quality and much cheaper (price) then its identical counter-part for the nes or super nes. the game starts in the first level of new junk city.

Not for me

I bought this game for use in my nintendo DS. I have the old SEGA versions of this game and love the humor of the graphics. I don't like the fact that you lose your game if you shut it off or lose your lives. I don't have the time to play for hours non-stop, therefore, I never get past the first level.
