Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (2007, Hardcover)

For Twilight fans this is a must-read. ECLIPSE is the third book in the series (Twilight, New Moon precede it) created by Stephenie Meyer. ECLIPSE mainly focuses on the love triangle between Bella and her vampire boyfriend Edward and her werewolf friend, Jacob. Oh yeah and throw in a string of mysterious killings from a malicious vampire who continues her quest for revenge...

Eclipse is an awesome sequel to Stephenie Meyer's previous books, Twilight and New Moon. Make sure you read the other two before you pick this one up.

Eclipse continues to follow Bella Swan and her romantic relationship with her Vampire boyfriend. Things get rather complicated in this one when Bella's love for Edward conflicts with her friendship with Jacob Black. Situations are even more complex due to the fact that Jacob and his friends are werewolves and made to destroy vampires.

Bella must deal with balancing the many relationships in her life, while contemplating her decision to become immortal, like Edward. All the while, Bella is in constant danger from Victoria, an evil vampire set on killing Bella to avenge the death of her partner.

Although not as well written as Twilight and lacking some of the emotional punch of New Moon, Eclipse still manages to grab your attention and hold it till the end. Full of excitement, drama, suspense, and of course romance, fans of the Twilight saga won't be disappointed and will be eager for more!

THIS BOOK "ECLIPSE" THE THIRD BOOK IN THE TWILIGHT SERIES BY STEPHENIE MEYER WAS SO ADDICTING I REALLY HAD TO TRY HARD TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN AT NIGHT. THIS BOOK MAY SEEM LONG WITH 629 PAGES TO READ, BUT YOU WILL BE THROUGH THE BOOK IN NO TIME BECAUSE IT IS THAT INTERESTING. THE STORY CONTINUES WITH BELLA AND EDWARD. BY THE END OF THE BOOK YOU WILL SEE THAT JACOB IS JUST AS IMPORTANT A CHARACTER AS BELLA AND EDWARD IN THIS SERIES. THE BOOK GOES THROUGH BELLA'S GRADUATION FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND HOW SHE REALIZES THAT SHE IS BECOMING AN ADULT AND SHE IS TRYING TO DISCOVER WHAT SHE REALLY WANTS FOR HER LIFE. THIS BOOK GOES INTO A LOT OF DETAIL BETWEEN BELLA, EDWARD AND JACOB. THERE IS ALSO AN AWESOME FIGHT SCENE AT THE END OF THE BOOK, BUT YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT WHO IN FACT IS FIGHTING. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS BOOK AN EXCELLENT RATING, BUT THERE IS ABOUT 50-100 PAGES TOWARD THE END OF THE BOOK THAT SEEM TO JUST DRAG ON, A CONVERSATION BETWEEN EDWARD AND JACOB. OVERALL, THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME AND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK IN THE TWILIGHT SERIES!! A+++++

You haven't experienced the true greatness of the twilight series until you have read Eclipse. this as so much excitement in it you can hardly believe. here I will tell you a little summary so you know what I meen. Edward is back with Bella to stay, but there are a few choices she must make. Well in the book new moon you know how Bella became friends with Jacob well they are more then just friends in the 3rd book they end up falling in love. In the 3rd book Bella has a problem with the Volturi the problem is no human is to know about vampires and 2nd the Volturi thinks its interesting that that Edward and themselves cant read Bella's mind. The problem is she has to become a vampire or die! Bella also has one more decision to make between Edward and Jacob. She has asked Edward if he will be the one to turn her into a vampire. He says yes on one condition she has to marry him first. There is one more problem to face in forks that will make the werewolves and the vampires unite as one. You rember Victoria right. Well she wants revenge on Bella because Edward killed James. Victoria is starting an army of newly born vampires that she is going release in to Forks. What do you think bella will choose life or death, but which is which, and will she choose Edward or jacob? you will have to read it to see what Bella's choices are and if Forks is going to find out the secret of the wolves and vampires.

Now that Edward has given in completely for his love of Bella and returned to her, she is torn between the bond she formed with Jacob during Edward's abscense and the love she could never let go of for Edward. Thoughout the book her guilt of hurting either one of them consumes her. Although she knows her heart is full of love for the vampire, she cannot let go of the guilt she feels when she causes the werewolf pain. Acording to a deal struck with the Italian vampire at the end of book 2 ("New Moon"), she knows she'll either have to become a vampire herself or die because she knows their secret now. Edward however has no intention of letting her heart stop. And yet a third tension in this book is Bella's desire to enter into a more physical relationship with Edward he refuses to move their relationship to that level without her first giving into a request of his own. (He is QUITE old fashioned !!)

Stephenie Meyer once again keeps tensions on all subjects high as she continues this dazzling series. Once again I could not put this book down. At this point in my reading of the series I had read the first 3 books in 4 days!! Personally I love it!
