) Although this album is not as polished as Ed's later efforts with Collective Soul, there is still plenty of good music on his pre-Soul solo album. A must for CS fans! The highlight of the album is 'Over Tokyo' which was later released as a CS song on 'Blender' (2000).

If you are used to Collective Soul, this CD might be a bit of a shock. The songs on here are different than Ed's usual work after this CD. The quality in the recordings are a lot better than I had expected for being recorded by himself because it sounded studio quality. Overall I would buy it again, but it's not a CD I would listen to more than once or twice in my life. A Must have though if you are a fan of Ed Roland.

) Not quite a Collective Soul effort but you definitely hear the genesis of one of today's most prolific songwriting talents. The songs are basic in nature but the underlying complexity and soulful songwriting are clearly evident in this rare debut recording by Ed Roland. If your into Collective Soul, this is a must for your collection. This very rare CD was printed in limited quantities and has been long sought after by collectors.
