Editorial Reviews
3 Stars - Good - ...Singer Jeff Martin has a deep voice, doesn't try to sing like Robert Plant and, although his guitar style, both acoustic and electric, is heavily influenced by Jimmy Page, the emphasis of the album is derived as much from the sounds and styles of Eastern/world music as from hard riffing rock...

The Early Tea Party

Created: 10/10/08
Jeff Martin grew up in Windsor, Ontario,he was also influenced by his blues-loving father. He formed the Tea Party with multi-instrumentalists Stuart Chatwood (bass, keyboards, mandolin and harmonium) and Jeff Burrows (drums, percussion). Martin himself plays guitars, sitar, hurdy gurdy and harpguitar. The trio's sound marries rock with elements of Middle Eastern, Celtic and Mediterranean music. Tea Party members state that album will finally silence critics and transcend all the Led Zeppelin/Doors comparisons that have dogged their every step. But I like music of The Tea Party, so I decided to buy this CD on eBay.

Edges of Twilight

Created: 08/10/09
The Tea Party brings us a medium of music from a classic time called "post grunge". This was an amazing time in music for post-Nirvana bands and in my opinion - spawned some of the greatest bands around in the 90s. Collective Soul, Live, Candlebox, Creed and of course the Tea Party make up an elite list of amazing artist with only a short time frame to rein over the radio. The CD is one of the finest of the Tea Party's three albumn life. Pick up all of them and be transformed back to 1995 again. This was a great time in music.
