In the Electric Mist

Of all the Tommy Lee Jones movies lately, I think this is the best one. In it,
detective Dave Robicheaus (Jones) finds himself swimming in a murky sea of
corruption, deception and lies when he probes the connection between between
a rash of murders and notorious New Orleans mobster (John Goodman)- and discovers secrets that were better left untold. With Robicheaux s family, and his life in serious danger he needs to stem a rising blood and bring justice
back to the bayou. His only assistance in this effort-to keep him in on a
line of thought - is the ghost of Gen. John B. Hood, of the Confederate Army,
who manages to help Robicheau, by his lessons learned in the American Civil War. GREAT MOVIE!

Enjoyed the movie. Well done. Tommy Lee Jones makes a great Dave Robicheaux. The scenery was beautiful. Some great photos of New Iberia and St. Martinville as well as the Bayou Teche. They did a great job of taking a pre-Katrina book and making it into a post-Katrina movie. The start was a little choppy but so are the books due to the need for character development. After that the movie took off and held my attention. The topless girl scene was not needed but it was no big deal. The characters appeared somewhat small when compared to the setting. Fairly good Louisiana Cajun movie...

This is as good a drama as you will find ! Tommy Lee Jones playes an excellent
role, as well as his co-stars John Goodman and Mary Steenbeegen. The dialogue is excellent, the setting in the bayous of Louisiana is without peer. The plot is superb; the directing, 1st class. I liked it so much that I went on line and purchased 15 copies for Christman gifts for relatives and friends ! Don't miss the opportunity to view and own a really good drama; Hollywood produces so little quality these days.

Based on a great book by James Lee Burke. Wonderful!

I bought this movie because of the fact that the book was written by a local author (James Lee Burke) and filmed in our area. The movie was filmed partially in New beria, Louisiana where the main Character Dave Robicheaux is from. Great to see local area on the big screen.

Tommy Lee Jones can't make a bad movie. Here he is the epitome of James Lee Burke's hero. Bayou country at its rawest. Loved It
