Bought Electrolux EL6988A bagged canister vacuum for a gift. She loves the way it handles . Loves the size and weight which is good for a smaller person. Rate it good, the only draw back is if it breaks down, parts are expensive.

) I do not like to vacuum but when I do I like a light weight vac that will do the job with as little effort as possible. This vacuum is easy to get around and moves with very little effort on my part. It takes up pet hair, which my dog leaves everywhere, and dust as well as my heavy, noisey, combursome vacuum that I have been using. The eloctrolux is also very attractive. What a neat color!
I first learned about the Electrolux EL6988A from "Consumer Guide". They highly recommended it for it's easy use and power. I have found it to be everything I need in a vacuum and the price was resonable for a quality product.

Great suction power. Vacuum power to both the canister and the head (seperately) makes for a powerful unit. Despite all the power this vacuum is ultra quiet!
Cleans VERY well. We have 2 dogs and this vacuum gets the hair from the carpet and the bare floors.
Good bag volume. No dust/dirt escapes.
Extremely satisfied with this unit. Well worth the price.

Great power, easy to maneuver. Although I love my Dyson, the Electrolux is superior when it comes to hardwood or vinyl floors, reaching high spots (valances), and getting under furniture. I need both vacuums for different reasons.
My only complaint about the Electrolux is that there is a strange looseness where the power head meets the stem, which is disconcerting. However, overall I really like the vacuum a lot.

Wonderful suction; Canister easy to pull. Bought this in substitution for my 30+-year old Electrolux, the motor in the wand finally gave out. I am very pleased.
Only one bag included. Now I have to find out where to get more bags. Any suggestions?
